As a Reconciliations Manager in Investment Middle Office Services, you will manage day-to-day post-trade reconciliation activities and ensure timely, accurate resolution of cash and asset exceptions. You partner with internal stakeholders and external parties such as custodians, brokers, and transfer agents to research issues, meet market deadlines, and improve client outcomes. You maintain strong controls, identify operational risks, and escalate issues appropriately. You support change initiatives, including process improvements, system enhancements, and market rule updates.

Job responsibilities
  • Oversee instruction capture, trade matching, confirmation, settlement support, claims management, and reconciliations as applicable to the client service model.
  • Perform cash reconciliations across client, custodian, fund, and internal books and records, and ensure breaks are identified and progressed to resolution.
  • Perform asset reconciliations across client, custodian, fund, and internal books and records, and ensure timely investigation of position differences.
  • Investigate exceptions by completing root-cause analysis and validating outcomes using internal data and third-party sources.
  • Partner with client-facing teams to communicate status, actions, and timelines and to resolve client-impacting issues.
  • Coordinate with custodians, brokers, and transfer agents to resolve exceptions and support settlement and market cut-offs.
  • Escalate risks, control issues, and material breaks appropriately, and track actions through closure.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reporting, including exception themes, operational metrics, and control results.
  • Support system testing, enhancements, and project delivery for digital solutions, process improvements, and market rule changes.
  • Manage onboarding of new client activity and service changes to support business growth.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Knowledge of financial products such as equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, collateral, derivatives, money markets, and cash products.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, including coaching, performance management, and delivering to agreed objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform root-cause analysis and drive issues to resolution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships and work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to identify operational risks, strengthen controls, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a changing environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Experience supporting the trade lifecycle, reconciliations, and/or fund accounting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with automation or workflow tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath, Xceptor, or Instabase.
  • Experience leading or contributing to process improvement and control enhancement initiatives in operations.
  • Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes.
