About Scrunch

Scrunch, a venture-backed startup, is on a mission to bring brands to an AI-first future—where people increasingly rely on LLMs to discover, understand, and act on information that matters to them.

As AI search and conversational agents replace traditional web search and browsing, Scrunch helps marketing teams rethink how their products and services are discovered and surfaced on AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and more—working with AI platforms, not against them. This shift represents the biggest change to marketing since the dawn of the internet.

With $26M in backing from Mayfield Fund, Decibel, Homebrew, GTM Capital, and leading Silicon Valley founders and operators, Scrunch has scaled rapidly since commercial launch. Today, more than 500 paying brands—including Fortune 500 companies like Lenovo, category-defining brands like Skims, and breakout startups like Clerk—use the platform.

About the Role

Scrunch is hiring an experienced Recruiter to lead full-cycle hiring across GTM, product, and engineering, while also supporting light, on-site office operations in our NYC office. This is a recruiting-first role, with ~75% of time focused on full-cycle recruiting and ~25% supporting on-site office operations.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused position for someone who knows how to run end-to-end recruiting and consistently close candidates in competitive markets. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers and founders and represent our brand to candidates throughout the process.

Location: NYC | Hybrid | 3x/week in-office
*We are not currently offering fully remote if you are based in the NYC area.

What You’ll DoRecruiting (~75%)
  • Own end-to-end recruiting for non-technical (Sales, Marketing, Operations) and technical (Engineering, Product) roles

  • Source, screen, and manage pipelines across multiple open roles simultaneously

  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and interview processes

  • Drive candidates through interview loops efficiently and professionally

  • Maintain accurate data in the ATS and provide clear, regular hiring updates to stakeholders

  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process

  • Confidently close candidates through offer stage, addressing objections and competing offers

  • Deliver a high-touch, high-quality candidate experience from first outreach through signed offer

Office Management & Front Office Support (~25%)
  • Serve as an on-site point of contact for day-to-day office needs

  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, deliveries, and vendors

  • Coordinate with building management on access, maintenance, and facilities requests

  • Support onboarding logistics (badges, desk setup, welcome packets)

  • Assist with internal events, team gatherings, and all-hands meetings

  • Maintain office supply inventory and manage reorders

  • Support ad hoc administrative or operational tasks as needed

What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in startups or fast-growing tech companies

  • Proven success recruiting for GTM (Sales/Marketing) and software engineering roles

  • Strong track record of closing candidates in competitive technical and sales markets

  • Highly organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple high-priority searches

  • Strong communication skills and confidence representing the company to senior candidates

  • Willingness to support on-site office responsibilities (~25% of role)

  • Based in New York City and able to work in-office 5 days per week

Nice to Have
  • Experience using AI and modern recruiting tools to increase speed, efficiency, and consistency in hiring

  • Comfortable experimenting with new technologies to improve sourcing quality, outreach personalization, and process efficiency

  • Strong operational mindset with an interest in continuously improving recruiting workflows
