About Luma AI
Luma’s mission is to build multimodal AI to expand human imagination and capabilities. We believe that multimodality is critical for intelligence. To go beyond language models and build more aware, capable, and useful systems, the next step function change will come from vision. So, we are working on training and scaling up multimodal foundation models for systems that can see and understand, show and explain, and eventually interact with our world to effect change.

Where You Come In
We are looking for a Product Engineering Recruiter to help us build the teams that turn our Intelligence into Products. This is not about hiring for standard SaaS roles; it’s about finding "Intelligence Product" builders—engineers with high slope, impeccable taste, and the ability to work directly with researchers. You will be the first line of defense in identifying the "founding engineer" archetypes who will build the interfaces for the next era of AI.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Engineering Domain: Lead the search for Software Engineers (Backend, Frontend, iOS), SREs, and Engineering Leaders who are "builders," not "optimizers."
  • The "Litmus Test": You will be the first line of defense in screening for "AI Native" engineers. You validate that candidates are already using coding agents (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate their own work and have a genuine curiosity for the space.
  • Hunt for "High Slope": You prioritize trajectory and curiosity over years of experience. You look for the "founders" and the "hackers" who thrive in ambiguity and want to ship.
  • Force Multiply with AI: You don't just use LinkedIn Recruiter. You use AI-powered scrapers, enrichers, and agents to build pipelines while you sleep.
  • Partner with Engineering Leadership: Work directly with the CTO and Engineering Managers to close complex technical offers, navigating equity and impact discussions.

Who You Are
  • Engineering Recruiting Expert: You have 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience for high-bar engineering teams (Elite Startups or Top-Tier Tech).
  • Assessment Hawk: You have a nose for "coasters" vs. "builders." You know how to dig into a candidate's GitHub or project history to see if they actually ship impactful work.
  • High Agency: You own your outcomes. If the pipeline is light, you invent a new way to fill it.
  • AI Fluent: You are technically savvy. You likely use AI tools to manage your own life and work, and you expect the same from the engineers you hire.
  • Startup DNA: You prefer the chaos and speed of a startup over the bureaucracy of a large corp. You want to build the team that builds the future.

What Sets You Apart (Bonus Points)
  • Experience hiring for "0-to-1" product teams.
  • Experience using modern recruiting tools (Gem, Ashby, AI Sourcing Agents).
  • Technical background or ability to read code/GitHub repos.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $260,000 per year.
