About Mercor

Mercor is at the intersection of labor markets and AI research. We partner with leading AI labs and enterprises to provide the human intelligence essential to AI development.

Our vast talent network trains frontier AI models in the same way teachers teach students: by sharing knowledge, experience, and context that can't be captured in code alone. Today, more than 30,000 experts in our network collectively earn over $1.5 million a day.

Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society.

Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our new San Francisco headquarters.

About the Role

Mercor is hiring a Recruiting Coordinator to deliver an exceptional candidate experience and keep our interview process running with speed, clarity, and polish.

You’ll be responsible for managing logistics, communication, and candidate-facing interactions from end to end. This is a high-trust, high-tempo role that combines operational detail, people-facing execution, and constant problem-solving. On any given day, you might be moving candidates between rooms, hunting down interviewers who missed their slot, sending last-minute calendar updates, or drafting thoughtful logistics emails (often all within the same hour).

This role is ideal for someone who loves to get things done, loves to wear lots of hats, and doesn’t flinch at the grunt work that makes a high-performing org run smoothly. You will be the person who ensures that our recruiting process not only works, but works beautifully.

Key Responsibilities

Own candidate scheduling processes. Coordinate phone screens, onsites, and multi-session loops across multiple time zones and calendars with speed and accuracy.

Be the face of the company. Greet candidates, guide them between interview sessions, troubleshoot day-of issues, and make them feel cared for throughout the entire experience.

Ensure end-to-end clarity. Draft logistics emails, prep interviewer briefs, manage candidate trackers, and follow up with professionalism and consistency.

Move fast when things go wrong. Track down missing interviewers, resolve real-time issues, and keep the day running no matter what comes up.

Keep everyone aligned. Communicate clearly and proactively with recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers to make sure no thread drops.

Improve the system. Flag weak points in the scheduling or communications flow and suggest process changes that make things faster, clearer, and more consistent.

Support the full recruiting operation. From running candidate dinners to coordinating offer letters to pulling post-onsite feedback, you’ll help make hiring feel intentional and smooth.

Pitch in on administrative tasks. Assist with tasks not directly related to recruiting/candidate experience when extra time is available.

What We’re Looking For

  • You have grit. You’re not afraid of manual work, fast context-switching, or putting in the time to get things right.

  • Prior experience in admin, recruiting, coordination, hospitality, sales, events, or startup operations.

  • You are detail-obsessed. You catch what others miss.

  • You move fast and keep things moving. You manage multiple threads without dropping them, and people trust that if it’s in your hands, it’s handled.

  • You care about people. You treat every candidate with warmth and attentiveness, and you help interviewers stay grounded and informed.

  • You communicate clearly. Your Slack messages, emails, and docs are thoughtful and professional, even when you’re in a rush.

  • You’re eager to learn. You get better every week by reflecting, asking questions, and suggesting improvements.

Bonus (But Not Required)

Experience in recruiting, coordination, hospitality, sales, events, or startup operations

Familiarity with Notion, Slack, Google Calendar, ATS systems, or basic trigger automations

Exposure to fast-paced environments or customer-facing roles
