Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe’s experience in global payments and Paradigm’s expertise in crypto tech.

Tempo’s payment-first design provides a scalable, low-cost predictable backbone that meets the needs of high-volume payment use cases. Our goal is to move money reliably, cheaply, and at scale. Our north star is simplicity for users: fintechs, traditional banks, merchants, platforms, and anyone else looking to move their payments into the 21st century.

We're building Tempo with design partners who are global leaders in AI, e-commerce, and financial services: Anthropic, Coupang, Deutsche Bank, DoorDash, Mercury, Nubank, OpenAI, Revolut, Shopify, Standard Chartered, Visa, and more.

We’re a team of crypto-optimists, building the infrastructure needed to bring real, substantial economic flows onchain. Our team primarily works in-person out of our San Francisco and NYC offices. We like to move fast and swing for the fences — join us!

The Role

We're looking for a detail-obsessed, highly organized Recruiting Ops team member to help us deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring team experience. In this role, you’ll own the logistical engine behind our recruiting process—from interview scheduling to pipeline coordination to recruiting workflow optimization.

You’ll partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates to ensure our hiring process runs smoothly, efficiently, and with a human-first approach. If you love optimizing processes, managing complexity, and elevating both internal and external perceptions of the company, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Interview Scheduling & Candidate Experience

  • Manage end-to-end scheduling for phone screens, virtual interviews, and onsite loops across multiple time zones.

  • Communicate directly with candidates and interviewers to provide timely updates, prep materials, and a seamless interview experience.

  • Coordinate interviewer availability and handle conflicts, rescheduling, and complex multi-step interview sequences.

  • Ensure every candidate feels supported, informed, and valued throughout the process.

Recruiting Operations

  • Maintain accurate candidate data and hiring pipelines in our ATS (e.g., Ashby, Greenhouse).

  • Partner with recruiters to monitor funnel metrics, identify bottlenecks, and improve process efficiency.

  • Build and refine recruiting workflows, templates, documentation, and scheduling best practices.

  • Support candidate handoff to onboarding and new hire logistics.

  • Assist with interviewer training, calibration sessions, and internal process rollouts.

Talent Branding & Candidate Engagement

  • Contribute to our talent brand by creating high-quality, candidate-facing communications, templates, and touchpoints.

  • Help maintain a consistent, compelling employer voice across emails, scheduling workflows, job descriptions, and candidate resources.

  • Support social, content, or recruiting campaigns that reflect our culture and help attract top talent.

  • Partner with recruiting and marketing teams to ensure our hiring process reflects who we are—clear, thoughtful, and candidate-first.

  • Gather and elevate candidate feedback to improve our brand perception and end-to-end candidate experience.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with People, IT, and Finance to ensure seamless onboarding/new hire coordination.

  • Support recruiting initiatives such as hiring sprints, pipeline programs, or recruiting events.

About You

  • Extensive experience in recruiting coordination, recruiting operations, executive scheduling, or similar roles.

  • Preferably be an expert Ashby user

  • Exceptional organizational skills and a deep love for calendars, systems, and logistics.

  • A proactive communicator who anticipates needs and issues before they arise.

  • Able to juggle high volume and shifting priorities without dropping details.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • High EQ and a service-oriented mindset—people trust you and enjoy working with you.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
