Basic Function: The Regional Account Manager (RAM) grows business among existing customers and promotes the organization to new, targeted customers to meet strategic business objectives in the assigned territory. The primary expectation is to maximize servicing the complete bill of materials for the Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer accounts defined by WireMasters Management through building relationships and strategic account development. RAMs serve as a product and service ambassador to increase sales and profitability. Additional expectations are to expand WireMasters relationship with existing customers by selling additional products and services to other Tiered accounts as directed by WireMasters Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess extensive product knowledge across the primary WireMasters Product Groups and premier line card suppliers to competently suggest acceptable products for the required application. 
  • Set, monitor, and meet sales targets for the assigned territory. 
  • Coordinate with Business Development Managers, Product Managers, and Account Executives to nurture existing relationships and to drive customer engagement, opportunity participation, customer satisfaction, and an increased win rates at Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts in the assigned territory.  
  • Responsible for contributing to the development and refinement of advanced strategic account plans and play a key role in driving actions to accomplish the goals of each plan. 
  • Maintain a cadence of communication with customers to ensure client satisfaction and publishes trip reports and meeting notes for key account activities in SalesForce. 
  • Follow up with sales leads generated through incoming calls, advertising campaigns and other promotional efforts for Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts.
  • Stay informed of customer forecasts for existing and future programs and assist in the annual budgeting process.
  • Market WireMasters’ VMI program where appropriate to new and existing accounts to develop long-term relationships with accounts in the region.
  • Attend trade shows on behalf of WireMasters, which may include participation as an exhibitor or as a show attendee.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints in a timely manner, notify management of problems and suggest corrective actions.
  • Attend training activities, sales meetings, and other related sales activities.
  • Collect and report competitive information to management.
  • Arrange travel and prepare expense reports in compliance with WireMasters policies and spending guidelines and submit in a timely manner as directed by management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum (MBA preferred)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar type of Sales role.
  • Sales and negotiation skills. 
  • Business development skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism. 
  • Project management skills.
  • Inventory, budgeting, and forecasting knowledge. 
  • Advanced computer literacy. 
  • Organization and attention to detail. 
  • Travel up to 50%.
