Black Box is expanding our national data center footprint — and we’re searching for a dynamic Regional Safety Manager who is ready to take charge in fast paced high stakes construction environments. This is a critical, leadership role responsible for steering Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) operations, and building a proactive safety culture. Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee safety compliance, risk management, and environmental protocols across multiple sites within a designated region. Key responsibilities include conducting site audits, leading incident investigations, implementing regulatory training (OSHA, EPA), and driving regional safety performance. 

  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.), conducting regular site visits and internal audits.

  • Incident Management: Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Strategy & Training: Develop and implement regional EHS programs, policies, and training initiatives, driving continuous improvements in safety culture.

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential environmental, health, or safety risks and establish proactive controls.

  • Reporting & Metrics: Track key EHS metrics, analyze trends, and report performance to senior leadership.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and work with site managers to ensure adherence to standards.

 

 

 

 

What You Bring 

 

  •  Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety or related field (required).  

  • 8+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in the construction industry.  

  • OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/510 strongly preferred.  

  • Professional certifications required: CSP, ASP, or CHST.  

  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.  

  • Extensive hands-on experience with inspections, incident investigations, process safety, contractor safety, and safety training.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital reporting systems.  

  • Ability to travel nationwide to support largescale data center construction.  

 

 

 

Role Details 

  •  

  • Location: Remote within the United States

  • Travel: Up to 50%  

  • Supervisory responsibility: Project assigned EHS staff
