POSITION SUMMARY

Establish and manage all sales functions for hardware and services within a geographical territory. Plan, organize and manage projects relating to product and service orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Sales and Marketing

  • Sell directly to existing and potential accounts to introduce and close sales of products and services. Prepare and deliver quotes and proposals. Develop and negotiate contracts in conjunction with other departments.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and supporting tactics including sales channel management to achieve specified revenue, volume and profitability objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers within an assigned geographic territory. Act as the interface between the customer and all relevant internal divisions.
  • Assess customer's business needs. Identify and recommend solutions and alternatives to meet those needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, consultants and distributors within an assigned geographic territory. Act as the interface between these groups and all relevant internal divisions to ensure successful sales, delivery and operation of all products and solutions.
  • Develop timely and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts, continuously monitor performance and recommend adjustments to forecasts as necessary. Analyze market statistics, trends and customer and competitor actions to determine impact on plans and ability to meet objectives.

Project Management

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans specifying goals, scheduling, resource allocation, risk identification and contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
  • Responsible for all project costs including accurate forecasts to ensure projects are within budget.
  • Manage all physical and coordinating aspects of projects involving inside deliveries, electrical installation and other installation or implementation requirements. Coordinate efforts with internal field service team.
  • Support the field service team with managing equipment service, scheduled maintenance and special projects.
  • Prepare project status reports and keep management, customers and others informed of project status and related issues.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Critical Power Solutions Division by effective dealings with customers and other internal departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 5 years of electrical industry product and service sales experience and related project management experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical power and other power quality related products.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with prospects, customers, employees and vendors.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and commercial agreements.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products.
