The TPA Sales Professional is responsible for developing new business opportunities and deepening distribution relationships that support the growth of AUI/SPPs retirement plan services. The role focuses on engaging advisors, recordkeepers, and other key industry partners to promote AUI/SPP’s third-party administration solutions and actuarial consulting capabilities.

This position requires a strong understanding of the retirement plan (DC and DB) landscape and the ability to communicate complex plan design and actuarial concepts in a practical advisor-friendly manner.

Key Responsibilities

· Business Development: Identify, cultivate, and close new opportunities with financial advisors, RIAs, broker-dealers, recordkeepers, and other retirement plan intermediaries.

· Distribution Expansion: Deepen and broaden AUI’s and SPP’s distribution network across Southern California and other strategic markets.

· Relationship Management: Build long term partnerships with advisors, recordkeepers, and centers of influence (CPAs, ERISA attorneys, consultants).

· Sales Strategy: Execute targeted sales strategies to increase market awareness of AUI/SPP’s TPA services and retirement plan consulting capabilities.

· Consultative Selling: Position AUI/SPP as a trusted partner by providing insights on plan design, compliance, and administrative efficiency.

· Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments affecting retirement plans and third-party administration.

· Internal Collaboration: Partner with actuarial consulting and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients and advisors.

· Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular reporting on opportunities, forecasts, and business development activity.

Qualifications

· Experience in retirement plan sales, financial services distribution or institutional sales

· Background in internal or external financial services sales strongly preferred

· Familiarity with third-party administration (TPA), defined contribution plans, and defined benefit / cash balance plans.

· Experience working with actuarial teams is valued.

· Established relationships with financial advisors, recordkeepers, or retirement plan consultants preferred.

· Strong presentation, networking, and relationship building skills.

· Ability to explain complex retirement plan concepts in a clear and consultative manner.

· Self-motivated with strong organizational and pipeline management skills.
