Job Description

Job Title:              Regional Sales Director

 

Location:              US West Region                                                                                                       

Description:

 

  • Responsible for sales of Pericom product      lines in the West geographic area.
  • Develops strategic plans, annual budget and performance reports for his/her area and works with key accounts to achieve new design wins and product sales.  
  • Works closely with Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives to drive business within territory.  Assigning plans, goals and tracking their progress against them.
  • Work directly with strategic house accounts to drive business within territory.
  • Responsible for local Distribution management, driving demand creation, sales training, key account penetration and business growth within the territory.
  • Develops Territory and Key Customer plans to identify growth opportunities, implements those plans, and communicates progress to Executive Team.  
  • Drives Marketing, Applications and Engineering team to define and develop new products for customer base in the Region; alerts Sales and Marketing to major design win opportunities and effectively communicates customer requirements.
  • Supervises Territory FAE team and directs support requirements within the Region.
  • Requires regular travel within Region (30-50%)      to support and drive sales efforts.

Qualifications/Skills:


  • Knowledgeable of products and customer needs, how they match-up and able to effectively articulate Pericom’s solutions and value proposition
    • Understands technical elements of Pericom product lines.
    • Strong skills in verbal and written communications
    • Excellent presentation skills for large or small groups
  • Strong leadership capabilities, supervisory skills and experience in motivating and training manufacturer's representative sales force and Distributor partners
  • Proactive self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision and high capacity to support multiple tasks with varying levels of complexity
    • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quota
  • High level of personal drive and responsiveness with attention to detail and follow through to close new business opportunities in fast paced sales environment
  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills are required to be effective, while simultaneously supporting multiple business opportunities
  • Excellent personal skills to create, develop and foster key customer relationships

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BS Degree or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of sales experience      with account and/or territory management
  • BSEE degree and semiconductor or      technical sales experience a plus
  • Knowledge on sales of analog/mixed signal products a plus
  • Direct sales experience and strong      relationship with major OEM customers in the West a plus.
