About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will report to the Regional Head of Growth and Success and is a field-based sales position that will drive net-new revenue growth across K-12 school districts in Florida. In this role, you will navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying cycles and  build deep, consultative relationships with Superintendents, Chief Academic Officers, and IT Directors to align our platform with their district’s strategic goals, equity initiatives, and student achievement metrics.

This requires expertise in the educational landscape of your territory, including state specific curriculum needs and initiatives, district nuances, and funding trends. The RSM will create, develop, and execute a strategic regional territory plan to drive territory growth.

This role will be based in Florida. Regional travel to prospects and customers in the assigned territory/FL is required (50-70%). Occasional travel to conferences and BrainPOP’s NYC HQ may also be required.

In this role, you will
  • Own the Full Sales Lifecycle: Prospect, pipeline, and close complex, large-scale agreements (new, upsell, cross sell and expansion) with mid- to large-sized K-12 districts.
  • Navigate Complex Procurement: Confidently manage multi-stakeholder committees, RFP (Request for Proposal) processes, board approval cycles, and strict data privacy compliance standards.
  • Consultative Selling: Uncover deep district pain points—such as learning loss, budgetary constraints, or curriculum gaps—and present tailored, ROI-driven solutions.
  • Product Expertise: Build product fluency to speak effectively to the power of BrainPOP; deliver onsite and virtual professional sales presentations and product demos, to demonstrate how BrainPOP can effectively impact student learning
  • Funding Fluency: Leverage a deep understanding of education funding mechanisms (e.g., Title I, IDEA, ESSER legacy funds, and state-level grants) to strategically position solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Customer Success and Implementation teams to ensure seamless handoffs, driving long-term adoption and renewal readiness
You Are
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage all phases of the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals to developing client relationships – with proven results surpassing set quotas
  • Energetic and independent with a strong work ethic
  • An articulate communicator with strong writing skills to audiences of all levels
  • Able to negotiate deals that meet both parties' objectives
  • Organized and able to prioritize and plan tasks
  • Disciplined about CRM pipeline management and data integrity; maintain accurate, data-driven reporting of the pipeline, account plans, and territory management activities to drive new business growth and regional expansion.
  • Able to travel in your assigned territory/region (50-70%)
On Your Resume
  • 5+ years of quota-carrying, solution-based sales experience targeting K-12 school districts
  • Experience selling to K12 school districts in Florida is required
  • Experience in supplemental curriculum strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in your region/territory; existing relationships with district-level leadership within the territory is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing a strategic territory plan and prospecting strategy
  • Evidence of quota achievement over consecutive years in the assigned territory
  • Experience presenting and demonstrating curriculum or technologies both online and face-to-face with executive level stakeholders
  • Experience managing pipelines in CRM systems like Salesforce; leverage data and reporting for strategic decision making
  • Experience leveraging sales tools (Gong Engage) and approved AI tools to enhance productivity and identify learning opportunities
  • Experience selling ELL products a strong plus
  • Prior teaching experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus
