Regional Sales Manager (Mid-Atlantic)  

BrightSign, the global market leader in digital signage media players, is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive growth in our Mid-Atlantic region. This role combines hunter-style new business development with strategic account management of an existing customer base. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities while nurturing long-term relationships with current clients to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.  

As a Regional Sales Manager, you should excel as prospecting, cold-calling, and closing new business, while also maintaining and expanding relationships with existing accounts. You will actively call on federal government agencies and other key verticals, leveraging your ability to navigate complex sales cycles and deliver tailored solutions. 

This is a technology-centric sales position requiring an ability to grasp and master end-to-end digital signage solutions including: displays, media players, various media data types (video, audio, HTML, JPEG, etc.) hosted cloud services, content management and advertising applications software, networking and security. Therefore, candidates who possess a strong technical AV / digital signage background and proven sales success will be given first consideration. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Aggressively prospect and develop new business opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region, with a focus on specific verticals (ex: federal government) and enterprise accounts 
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and distribution channels to drive revenue growth 
  • Understand and prioritize strategic partnerships, leveraging these relationships to expand market presence 
  • Represent BrightSign at industry trade shows and events; travel regularly throughout the territory (estimated 25%) 

Qualifications 

  • 8-10 years of business development experience with a well-recognized technology-based sales and marketing driven company, reseller or distributor 
  • Proven track record as a sales hunter with experience in complex solution selling and major account management 
  • Extra consideration for experience in AV, digital signage, digital advertising, or business solutions product lines 
  • Familiarity with multi-tier distribution channels including VARs, distributors, dealers, POP display companies, and system integrators 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; adept at leveraging social media and digital tools for outreach 
  • Proficiency with sales tools such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Hoovers, and LinkedIn 
  • Organized and detail oriented in opportunity tracking and other administrative tasks 
  • Genuine enthusiasm for BrightSign products and helping customers create impactful experiences
