Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of management experience.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership, management and oversight of region. Ensure all company policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with company's vision and objectives.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Manages and oversees specific goals and action plans for all branch locations within region and holds all direct reports accountable for results.
  • Drives new regional business opportunities and supports all national account programs.
  • Drives implementation of all company policies and procedures while attaining budgeting sales quotas and gross profit targets for entire region.
  • Recruits, hires, trains and develops General Managers to operate each business unit.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key regional customers and with regional suppliers.
  • Manages complete sales and expense budget for the region and oversees all national marketing efforts (i.e. Constant Contact).

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
