The team develops applications that support Regulatory Reporting groups in filing critical disclosures to regulatory bodies across the globe, utilizing highly flexible and scalable Java services, large-scale computational processing, warehouse reporting, and the Axiom regulatory reporting tool.
As a member of this agile development team, you will participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle — from requirements gathering through post-release and ongoing L3 support — working front-to-back on applications across Java, Python, SQL, and more. You will be expected to drive standardization and architecture discussions, contribute to automated testing and shared libraries, and deliver high-quality implementations aligned with development best practices.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical and problem-solving skills, an openness to learning new technologies and business domains, and ideally some familiarity with Regulatory, Accounting, Finance, or Control Functions. This role involves close collaboration with local and global project managers, colleagues, and internal clients within Finance.

Information Security Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Responsibilities:

    - Consolidate data sourcing, integration, and verification across Control Functions to ensure consistent, controlled, and auditable outputs.  
    - Onboard and configure Axiom solution templates for regulatory reports (e.g., 14A DFAST, SEC FOCUS , Brazil DLO, SPED ), including mapping, validation, and deployment support.  
    - Analyze platform hygiene and DevOps gaps and define a prioritized remediation plan (standards, CI/CD, monitoring, environment controls).  
    - Implement and optimize business logic and data transformations using Scala/Spark (with testing and performance considerations).  
    - Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and KPIs (data quality, reconciliations, SLA/operational metrics) with reliable refreshes.

Required Skills:

    - 2+ years in Regulatory Reporting tool Axiom or Suade
    - 3+ years software development experience in Scala/Spark (Java)
    - Database experience such as SQL, RDBMS platform like Snowflake DB (preferred) , Postgres
    - Python Scripting
    - Experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) with an engineering approach
    - Experience with PowerBI 
    - Bachelors or related field experience

Desired Skills:

    - Knowledge of Unix commands/shell scripting
    - Knowledge of Job Automation/Scheduling concept with Autosys or Apache Airflow
    - Knowledge of CI/CD methodology
    - Experience with Azure cloud technologies such as Databricks
    - Experience working in an agile team with focus on continued integration and automated testing
    - Practical experience delivering AI-enabled use-cases (not just experimental)
