Sell and market mutual funds, ETFs and asset allocation products to advisors across Northern California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. Drive net new assets through relationship development, present approved materials, use Salesforce to track activity, coordinate with internal wholesalers, and travel frequently across the territory to execute an annual business plan.
The Relationship Manager, External Wholesaler, is responsible for new business development in the San Francisco region for both the Independent Broker Dealer and Wirehouse Channels. This person will be responsible for marketing a suite of fixed income, equity and global asset allocation funds and a suite of ETFs. The region includes Northern California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. The ideal candidate would reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Job Functions
- Drive Net New Assets through proactive advisor engagement and relationship development
- Represent DoubleLine products and strategies to advisors throughout territory
- Develop an annual business plan detailing the necessary strategies, tactics, and resources to achieve stated objectives
- Travel across a large territory 3-4 days per week
- Develop, build and maintain relationships with key financial advisors within a focus list of clients and prospects
- Track all meetings and sales events through CRM system (Salesforce.com)
- Present pre-approved sales presentations in a highly professional manner to a variety of audiences
- Maintain close working relationship with Advisor Consultant (Internal Wholesaler) and other key firm staff to promote sales activity and service clients
- Keep abreast of the current economy, global markets, fund performance and future outlook
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or a finance-related major
- Ability to thrive in an independent, challenging and collaborative environment
- Minimum of 5 years in the investment management industry and 3 years as an external wholesaler
- Series 7 and 63 licenses
- Demonstrated success selling mutual funds, ETFs and alternative products
- Existing relationships within territory
- Knowledge of the investment management industry and key portfolio management concepts
- Understanding of various broker-dealer platforms
Base Salary Range
The estimated base salary for this position is $125,000. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
