About the Role
Aligna Bookkeeping Solutions is seeking an experienced remote bookkeeper to support our US-based clients with comprehensive bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation services.
Requirements
2+ years of bookkeeping experience with US-based businesses
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Strong understanding of US payroll processing and tax compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage client accounts
Self-motivated with ability to work independently
Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and perform monthly account reconciliations
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Process payroll, calculate withholdings, and ensure payroll tax compliance
Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Track deductible expenses and prepare 1099 forms for contractors
Organize tax-ready documentation and support year-end reporting
Communicate effectively with clients and respond to inquiries promptly
