Position: Inside Sales & Business Development Representative Location: [Remote] Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and driven hybrid sales professional to manage our full sales lifecycle. This role bridges the gap between proactive prospecting (BDR) and pipeline management (Sales Ops). You will be responsible for hunting new business, managing the deal cycle, generating quotes, and ensuring our CRM and internal systems are flawlessly updated.

Core Responsibilities

  • Business Development (New Client Acquisition): Prospect, identify, and qualify new leads through outbound cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling.

  • Full-Cycle Deal Management: Guide qualified prospects through the entire sales pipeline from initial discovery call to negotiation and final close.

  • Sales Operations & Quoting: Generate accurate, timely quotes and proposals for prospects and existing clients.

  • Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain meticulous records of all sales activities, deal stages, and communications.

  • System Administration: Act as the daily driver of our tech stack, ensuring all account data, contacts, and deal statuses are current.

Requirements

Required Skills & Technology Experience

  • Zoho Proficiency: Hands-on experience navigating Zoho (or a similar major CRM), specifically building quotes, updating deal stages, and managing lead databases.

  • Google Workspace: Strong familiarity with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Meet for daily operations, client presentations, and internal collaboration.

  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of managing end-to-end deal cycles, not just setting appointments.

  • Operational Detail: High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex pricing, quotes, and contract terms without errors.

Candidate Profile & Evaluation Matrix

Because this role blends "hunting" (BDR) with "farming/organizing" (Sales Ops), standard sales reps may struggle with the paperwork, while ops specialists may struggle to cold call. Look for candidates with backgrounds in Account Management, Full-Cycle Inside Sales, or SMB Account Executive roles.

Skill Area

Core Requirement

Outbound Prospecting

Comfortable finding and engaging net-new clients.

Sales Operations

Flawless quote generation and pipeline hygiene.

Deal Management

Ability to advance deals through specific stages.

Tech Stack

Familiarity with Zoho and Google Workspace.

Benefits Structuring the Compensation

To keep a hybrid rep motivated across all their duties, consider a multi-tiered compensation plan:

  • Competitive Base Salary: Compensates for the heavy administrative and Sales Ops work (quotes, CRM updates) which traditional commission-only reps hate doing.

  • Commission on Closed Won Deals: Traditional percentage of the revenue or gross margin on deals they manage and close.

  • BDR Bonuses: Flat bonuses for hitting meeting-booked quotas or activating net-new logos.

You can post this immediately on platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, and specialized boards like RepVue or Sales Hacker to attract tech-savvy sales talent.
