Position Overview
We’re hiring a AI Tokenomics Analyst to deepen our research into the economics of AI. We’re looking for someone with a passion for understanding the cutting edge of model architecture developing combined with the most advanced hardware systems used to serve those models. Our goal is to provide the economic and investment framework for investors, corporate capital allocators, and policymakers in understanding the economic value of AI and the actual cost curve of AI tokens and software forecast into the future.
You will directly contribute to the development of our Tokenomics model, which is a holistic AI demand forecasting model that will be used by corporates, sovereigns, and investors across all industries and countries looking to capitalize on the economic value of deploying AI systems to produce new products and automate large swathes of the global intelligence economy. This is a full time role located in the United States.
What You'll Do
Evaluate model architecture trends and innovations from the major AI research labs and the academic community that will have meaningful economic impact on the deployment of AI systems used in training and inferencing models.
Develop a comprehensive internal model for simulating training and inference efficiency across different combinations of model architecture, hardware systems, inference KPIs (ie SLA/SLOs on throughput, time-to-first-token, context window, etc.), and simulated workloads (coding, chat, document, image, etc.)
Diligence existing and up-and-coming companies incorporating model tokens into their products, from startups to hyperscalers, across all industries and types of workloads.
Combine the multidisciplinary approach of SemiAnalysis to forecast the impact of changes in model architecture and hardware on the future of AI economics
What We're Looking For
Undergrad/Masters/PhD in ML/AI or CS with focus on ML/AI
Self-taught, motivated analysts with strong technical background in inference economics
Deeply analytical economic researchers with a strong desire to pioneer the study of a brand new industry
Full-time role based in United States
