Uniphore is building the world’s best-in-class Business AI platform to enable business users to leverage the advances of artificial intelligence to solve problems in their specific business processes. You will be working on developing new foundational machine learning technology behind a category-defining product – Business AI will democratize the benefits of cutting-edge machine intelligence at scale to more customers. If you are ready to take on the challenge of building the foundation model that enables a wide suite of capabilities around AI agent optimization, training of small and efficient foundation models, human-AI interaction, and agentic evaluation, etc., come join us!
Responsibilities
You will be working on a challenging research project on a topic at the intersection of your research interests and Uniphore’s business interest
You will work closely with Uniphore research scientists, other research interns, as well as Uniphore machine learning engineers to define the problem and develop solutions
The ideal outcome of your internship project is either a research paper submitted to top-tier conferences or journals, or a standalone system that demonstrates improvements in key research engineering tasks

Minimum Qualifications
Strong algorithm, data structure and coding skills
Strong with Python, SQL, and ML fundamentals
Enrolled in a PhD or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fields
Experience in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience in implementing algorithms using toolkits and self-developed code
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated track record of excellence (e.g., publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals) and desire to grow
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Experience at fast-growing companies or startups, or working in an agile environment
Hiring Range:
The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
