Join a pioneering team driving advancements in wireless sensing technologies for augmented reality (AR), wearable devices, and robotics. As a research scientist, you will design, develop, and prototype innovative hardware and software systems that help define the next generation of perception capabilities in smart devices, with a direct impact on real-world products and research directions.
Responsibilities- Research, prototyping, and development of novel wireless sensing systems for AR, wearable, and robotic applications.
- Design and implement hardware platforms and supporting software infrastructure to accelerate experimental research and technology validation.
- Develop demonstrable prototypes showcasing wireless perception and sensing algorithms, and communicate outcomes effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, hardware, and research teams to turn exploratory concepts into actionable deliverables.
- Publish research findings and contribute to the broader scientific and engineering community as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of research experience in one or more of the following domains:
- Radio-frequency systems (e.g., wireless communication, radar, software-defined radios)
- Signal processing and machine learning (e.g., DSP, wireless perception algorithms)
- Proficient in Python, MATLAB, C++, or a similar programming language.
- Experience with at least one major machine learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, MATLAB Deep Learning Toolbox).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines, including cross-cultural and cross-functional environments.
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Deep expertise in signal processing, data analysis, or advanced machine learning model development, especially as applied to radar, lidar, or similar sensing modalities.
- Hands-on experience developing research platforms or electronics for high-frequency sensing applications.
- Proven track record communicating complex technical work clearly to both specialist and general audiences.
- Publication record in top conferences or journals in wireless sensing, signal processing, or machine learning.
