Position Description: 

The Revenue Operations Specialist I – Sales Operations & Deal Desk is an entry-level role supporting Novara's quote-to-order lifecycle. Reporting to Revenue Operations leadership, the role prepares quotes and sales orders, validates opportunities, coordinates deal approvals, supports bookings, and hands complete order packages to Billing and Accounting. 

The Specialist follows established procedures, maintains accurate system data, prepares operational deliverables, and escalates exceptions. The role partners with Sales, Finance, Legal, Customer Success, Implementation, Accounting, and Revenue Operations. Billing runs and invoice generation remain with Billing and Accounting. 

Responsibilities:

    • Process routine opportunity and deal approvals by validating products, quantities, pricing, discounts, contract terms, required approvals, and supporting documentation. 

    • Create and maintain quotes, order forms, and sales orders in Salesforce, CPQ, and ERP or order-management systems using approved configurations. 

    • Support non-standard deals by preparing approval packages, documenting exceptions, coordinating pricing approvals, and routing agreements for review and signature. 

    • Confirm executed agreements match CRM and CPQ records and assemble complete booking and sales-order packages for Billing and Accounting handoff; do not execute billing runs or generate invoices. 

    • Monitor Sales Operations and Deal Desk queues, meet service levels, and escalate exceptions. 

    • Maintain accurate account, opportunity, quote, contract, order, renewal, and booking data across Salesforce, NetSuite, and related systems. 

    • Validate renewal quotes and orders for pricing, uplift, quantities, dates, and commercial terms before approval and handoff. 

    • Prepare booking, sales-order, commission, reporting, and reconciliation files for Sales, Finance, and Revenue Operations. 

    • Maintain standard operating procedures, checklists, templates, approval matrices, and operational documentation. 

    • Identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements across quoting, approvals, booking, and handoff workflows. 

    • Support month- and quarter-end bookings close, sales-order reconciliations, and audit requests. 

Knowledge, Experience, Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. 

    • 0–2 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Order Management, Commercial Operations, Finance, or a related function. 

    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. 

    • Familiarity with Salesforce, CRM or CPQ, ERP or order-management systems, SaaS pricing, or commercial contracts preferred. 

    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; formulas and lookups are a plus. 

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach. 

    • Ability to follow procedures, assess transaction completeness, and escalate appropriately. 

    • Ability to manage multiple requests and period-end volume in a deadline-driven sales environment. 

    • Demonstrated commitment to data accuracy, process compliance, and operational excellence. 

Success Criteria:

    • Quotes, sales orders, and approvals are accurate and completed within established service levels. 

    • Deal Desk operations enable timely, compliant, and scalable deal execution. 

    • Booking and order packages are accepted by Billing and Accounting with minimal rework. 

    • Account, quote, contract, order, renewal, and booking records are accurate and audit-ready. 

    • Sales Operations and Deal Desk queues remain current; risks and exceptions are communicated promptly. 

    • Booking, sales-order, and commission files are accurate and submitted on time. 

    • Operational documentation remains current, practical, and consistently followed. 

    • Demonstrates increasing ownership, business knowledge, and systems proficiency within the Revenue Operations team. 

Compensation:

    Annual Base Salary Range of 65k-75k
    Annual Bonus Opportunity of 7.5%
