About the Role: 

We are seeking a dynamic on-site Risk Analyst to join our proprietary trading firm. This role is centered on real-time monitoring of trading activity, with a particular focus on futures markets. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of trading environments and risk exposure, and will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor live trading activity across a broad spectrum of asset classes to identify and escalate risk exposures and breaches in real time. 
  • Collaborate closely with traders, operations, and technology teams.  
  • Interpret trading behavior and market movements to assess potential risk implications. 
  • Support the development and refinement of risk monitoring tools and dashboards  
  • Contribute to post-trade reviews and risk incident analysis. 
  • Assist in the enforcement of trading limits and risk policies. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in a trading, risk, or operations role within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or investment bank is preferred but not essential. 
  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of futures markets and trading mechanics. 
  • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain composed and make sound judgments in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly articulate risk concerns to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Collaborative mindset: This is a key requirement. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams. 
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex trading data quickly and accurately. 
  • Technical Skills: While advanced programming or quantitative modeling is not required, comfort with using trading and risk platforms, Excel, and basic data tools is expected. 
  • Able to work in the office 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. 
  • Familiarity with risk frameworks and trading compliance standards. 
  • Experience working in a 24/5 or global trading environment is a plus.

Compensation 

Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $150,000, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus. 

Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, education, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, Geneva Trading offers a competitive total rewards package, including a comprehensive benefits program.
