Position Summary

Position Summary:

A Scientific Games Sales Account Manager II (SAM II) is responsible for representing the Oklahoma Lottery and Scientific Games daily in retailer locations throughout the state. SAM II’s are responsible for visiting and managing retail accounts within their designated territory. They are responsible for managing, maintaining and increasing expense budget within their assigned region. Each SAM II works together with the Oklahoma Lottery and the Scientific Games team to grow sales, enhance merchandising, increase recruitment and train the retailers. The position requires the ability to work with minimal daily supervision as well as work independently.

Job Functions:

Sales

  • Visit all retailers on the established territory route schedule per week
  • Accountable to exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Conduct business review presentations with key decision makers
  • Establish and maintain rapport with decision makers at each retailer
  • Reviews sales trends, goals and opportunities with retailer
  • Analyze and utilize data daily to influence retail decision makers on their Lottery needs
  • Promote Oklahoma Lottery products upon each retailer visit
  • Create retailer action plans to increase incremental sales at key retailers
  • Sell in signage or additional equipment to retailers
  • Grow the Oklahoma Lottery Instant game portfolio by increasing bin count utilizing sales performance data
  • Educate retailers and lottery players on all instant and draw games provided by the Lottery
  • Participate and engage in all Scientific Games Inc. and Oklahoma Lottery sales meetings by providing sales trends feedback

Merchandising

  • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained for every retailer within the designated route territory
  • Ensure all products are in stock and ready to be sold
  • Provide and maintain each retailer with updated Point of Sale material upon each sales call
  • Achieve and maintain the best placement for all Lottery games and Point of Sale material in each retail establishment
  • Adhere to all Oklahoma Lottery policies and procedures within each retailer
  • Maintain all proper Lottery information guides in each retailer
  • Ensure all equipment is working correctly upon each retail sales call
  • Document each sales call electronically
  • Conduct promotions at the retailer level, interreacting with the retailer and lottery consumer/players

Retailer Recruitment

  • Identify potential locations which could possibly sell Oklahoma Lottery games
  • Provide feedback to Sales Manager on potential locations as process requires

Retailer Training

  • Conduct training with retailer employees on the policies and procedures of the Oklahoma Lottery
  • Educate Lottery customers/players about current initiatives while working in retail locations
  • Provide hands-on training for related Lottery retailer equipment
     

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in completing all responsibilities and duties while representing both Scientific Games Inc, and the Oklahoma Lottery
  • Adhere and uphold all policies set forth by Scientific Games Inc and the Oklahoma Lottery
  • Maintain a safe work environment and clean driving record
  • Perform annual training requirements
  •  All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or related field or equivalent experience of 3 years minimum is preferred
    • Experience with the Lottery operation/industry is preferred
    • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (to be maintained)

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Ability to remain tactful and diplomatic in difficult situations
    • Ability to train others on products and promotions
    • Ability to quickly troubleshoot both mechanical and system issues
    • Positive and self-motivated attitude
    • Ability to work individually and with others as a team
