Marin Luxury Cars is expanding our sales team and seeking a driven, client-focused Sales Associate to join our highly experienced and well-established staff. This role is ideal for a professional who values long-term relationships, collaboration, and delivering a thoughtful, concierge-level automotive experience.

As a Sales Associate, you will represent some of the world’s most desirable vehicles while working alongside a tenured team in a supportive, performance-driven environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in professionalism, attention to detail, and creating exceptional experiences for every client interaction.

Requirements

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Essential Job Functions - Salesperson:

Mobility / Movement

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods while greeting customers, showing vehicles on the lot, and conducting test drives.
  • Ability to climb in and out of vehicles repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Occasional need to bend, stoop, reach, or crouch to access vehicle interiors, dashboards, or trunks.
  • Ability to navigate outdoor lot areas in varying weather conditions.
  1. Lifting / Carrying
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 10–25 lbs occasionally (e.g., marketing materials, license plates, car accessories, point-of-sale materials).
  • Rare lifting of up to 40 lbs may be required (battery jump box, display items), but accommodations may be available depending on job structure.
  1. Vision / Driving Requirements
  • Ability to operate dealership vehicles safely for customer test drives and vehicle relocation.
  • Requires valid driver’s license and ability to visually inspect vehicles for quality and safety.
  • Must be able to read pricing, contracts, and digital screens.
  1. Communication Requirements
  • Ability to speak clearly with customers, coworkers, and management in person and over phone/electronic systems.
  • Must be able to hear and respond to customer questions, sales calls, and safety instructions in busy or noisy dealership environments.
  1. Environmental Conditions
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors; must be able to tolerate temperature changes when showing cars on the lot.
  • Potential exposure to vehicle fumes, dust, and typical dealership noise levels.
  1. Cognitive / Interaction Requirements
  • Must be able to focus, recall product information, and accurately communicate vehicle features and pricing.
  • Ability to use computers, tablets, and electronic sales systems.
