Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2026 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven SDR Manager to lead one of our sales development representative teams. This is a high-impact role critical to our next phase of growth. As a SDR manager, you will own the performance, development, and success of a team of SDRs focused on acquiring and expanding relationships with our partners and customers.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with a proven track record of developing strategies to exceed business development targets and a passion for building high-performing, customer-centric SDR teams.

This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of 2-3 days per week in one of our hubs: NYC, SF, SLC. For candidates outside of those locations, you may be eligible for our relocation assistance program.

What you’ll do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5–8 SDRs to achieve and exceed pipeline generation goals
  • Monitor individual and team performance metrics, providing structured feedback and managing performance plans as needed
  • Implement scalable outreach strategies and prospecting best practices across phone, email, and social channels
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to optimize lead flow, segmentation, and messaging for key personas
  • Ensure fast, consistent follow-up on inbound leads and alignment with AE handoff processes
  • Conduct regular call reviews, pipeline reviews, and skill-based training to support SDR growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support territory planning, campaign execution, and other strategic revenue initiatives
  • Manage team scheduling, capacity planning, and hiring needs as the organization grows
  • Handle ad-hoc projects/initiatives for the sales organization
Key qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional experience, including experience leading or mentoring SDRs or inside sales teams
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline generation or quota targets, both individually and as a leader
  • Strong ability to coach SDRs on effective outreach, messaging, and qualification techniques
  • Demonstrated capability to build relationships with middle management and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptive, and thrive in a fast-growing, evolving environment
  • Skilled in CRM usage and pipeline reporting; familiarity with sales engagement tools is a plus
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively across teams

The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. This is a commission earning role. The OTE (On Target Earnings) for this role are $194,000-244,000.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
