The Role

We are looking for a driven and digitally savvy Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our North American team and play a pivotal role in accelerating business growth across Sales and Marketing. Sitting at the heart of our go-to-market strategy, you’ll be the vital link between marketing activity and sales execution, turning market engagement into qualified opportunities that fuel the sales pipeline.

This role is perfect for someone who’s curious, confident, and motivated by results. You’ll blend data-driven insight with creativity and authentic relationship building to spark meaningful conversations with prospects across the insurance and Insurtech space.

You’ll work hands-on with a suite of digital engagement tools, from CRM and marketing automation platforms, an SDR AI tool to aid prospecting efficiency and LinkedIn Sales Navigator using them to research, target, and connect with the right audiences at the right time. You’ll help shape and activate campaigns, learn what resonates in the market, and directly influence how we grow.

This is a US-based role, with an expectation to travel from time to time for collaboration, team sessions, conferences, and training.

What you will do
  • Generate and qualify leads through a mix of digital outreach, social engagement, and data-driven prospecting to build a healthy, high-quality pipeline for the sales team.
  • Leverage tools such as CRM, marketing automation, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to research, segment, and prioritize target accounts.
  • Create personalized outreach via email, social, video, and calls, ensuring every interaction reflects INSTANDA’s tone, value proposition, and understanding of the client’s world.
  • Maintain and optimize CRM data to ensure real-time visibility and accurate reporting across the sales and marketing team.
  • Collaborate closely with the North American Sales team to book and prepare high-quality discovery calls that convert into meaningful opportunities.
  • Track, analyze, and report on weekly and quarterly performance metrics, using insights to continuously refine outreach strategy and improve conversion rates.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to co-create targeted, creative campaigns that align with go-to-market themes and generate engagement across key segments (MGAs, carriers, and brokers).
  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with prospects by being consultative, curious, and genuinely interested in solving their challenges.
  • Adhere to INSTANDA’s information security policies, guidelines, and best practices to protect our company and our clients.
  • Contribute to a culture of security awareness within the company.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Exceptional communication skills: confident and engaging across written, verbal, and digital channels, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a disciplined approach to managing multiple prospects, tasks, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of the B2B sales process, with a genuine curiosity about customer challenges and how technology can solve them.
  • Proven hands-on experience using a variety of prospecting and outreach techniques from email and social selling to video and calls to generate engagement and interest.
  • Comfortable working with data and sales performance metrics, using insights to refine targeting, messaging, and conversion rates.
  • Digitally fluent, ideally with experience using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo/Artisan, HubSpot (or similar CRMs), and marketing automation platforms.
  • Fast learner with a growth mindset, eager to understand our platform, the insurance market, and the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with a proactive approach to achieving goals and contributing to team success.

Experience

  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a Sales Development, Business Development, or Marketing-related role within a B2B environment, ideally in SaaS, technology for insurance, or financial services.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and prospecting or engagement tools.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and the ability to collaborate with marketing teams to activate campaigns and follow up on demand generation activity.
  • Comfortable managing outreach across multiple channels (email, phone, video, and social) with a focus on quality, personalization, and measurable results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product) and contribute to a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to learning new tools, understanding markets, and improving performance through data and feedback.
