The Role

Satsuma is hiring a high-performing SDR to help build the future of Agentic Commerce.

This is a high-visibility role where you'll work directly with our CEO and Chief Commercial Officer to generate pipeline, land meetings with senior retail executives, and help define our outbound motion as we scale.

We're looking for someone with a competitive mindset who thrives in a pure hunting environment. You'll own your pipeline, identify and engage net-new accounts, build prospecting strategies, and continuously refine messaging to break into enterprise retailers and merchants across verticals.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind an inbound queue. You'll be expected to create opportunities from scratch, move quickly, operate independently, and contribute ideas that shape our go-to-market strategy.

If you're excited about AI, LLMs, Agentic Commerce, Agentic Discovery, GEO, AEO, and the next generation of digital commerce, we'd love to talk.

What You'll Do
  • Build and execute outbound prospecting campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
  • Generate qualified pipeline by targeting VP and C-level leaders across eCommerce, Digital, Loyalty, Marketing, Merchandising, and Retail Media.
  • Research accounts, identify buying signals, and develop strategic account plans.
  • Create personalized messaging that earns responses from senior decision-makers.
  • Book and qualify meetings for Account Executives and leadership.
  • Consistently source and develop net-new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, and pipeline data within CRM.
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO and CCO on messaging, targeting, and campaign strategy.
  • Test, iterate, and optimize outreach based on performance data and market feedback.
  • Stay current on trends across retail technology, AI, Agentic Commerce, LLMs, GEO, and digital customer experience.

RequirementsMust-Haves
  • 1-4 years of SDR, BDR, or outbound sales experience.
  • Experience prospecting into and generating pipeline for SaaS solutions across a range of deal sizes, from transactional opportunities to complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated success building pipeline and generating qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting.
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline goals.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to craft personalized outreach at scale.
  • Confidence speaking with VP and C-level executives.
  • Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar).
  • Self-starter who can work effectively in a highly autonomous, async environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Competitive, resilient, and comfortable hearing "no" frequently.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience selling into retail, grocery, convenience, restaurant, eCommerce, or omnichannel brands.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with AI, LLMs, Agentic Commerce, Agentic Discovery, AEO, GEO, search, personalization, or retail media.
  • Understanding of retailer organizational structures and buying processes.
What Success Looks Like
  • Consistently generating qualified meetings and pipeline with target accounts.
  • Landing meetings with senior decision-makers at enterprise retailers.
  • Contributing insights that improve messaging, targeting, and conversion rates.
  • Becoming a trusted partner to the CEO, CCO, head of finance, and broader team.
  • Helping establish repeatable outbound processes that scale with the company.

Benefits
  • Remote-first (US-based)
  • Competitive base salary ($70,000–$100,000) plus commission
  • 401(k) / IRA
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Gym membership reimbursement
  • Wellness benefits
  • Team offsites and company events
