We power card issuing for leading banks, fintechs and digital brands across the globe, and as we continue to grow, we are looking for curious, ambitious people who thrive on solving complex challenges, embrace innovation and want to make a tangible impact at global scale.

In this role, you'll play a key part in expanding our market presence through strategic outreach, relationship building, and targeted engagement with prospective clients. Working closely with our Sales and Marketing teams, you'll connect with industry decision-makers, support global events, and help build a high-quality sales pipeline that drives business growth.

If you're a proactive communicator who enjoys connecting with people, uncovering opportunities, and contributing to a fast-growing global fintech, we'd love to hear from you.

What you get to do
  • Research and identify key decision-makers within fintechs, retail banks, digital banks, and other strategic prospects across assigned markets.

  • Execute personalised outreach campaigns through email, LinkedIn, and phone to generate meaningful conversations and qualify new opportunities.

  • Utilise HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI-powered outreach platforms, and other sales technologies to manage prospecting activities, monitor engagement, and ensure timely follow-up.

  • Build trusted relationships with prospective clients by adopting a consultative approach that focuses on understanding business challenges and aligning Paymentology's solutions with customer needs.

  • Educate prospects on Paymentology's products, capabilities, and value proposition through tailored and value-driven interactions.

  • Coordinate and schedule qualified meetings between prospective customers and the Sales team while ensuring prospects are well-prepared for discussions.

  • Represent Paymentology at leading global industry events, conferences, and trade shows including Money20/20 and Seamless Africa to build relationships, generate leads, and strengthen brand awareness.

  • Support event planning by coordinating meetings, engaging with prospects onsite, following up on leads, and sharing insights that improve future event strategies.

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, prospect engagement, pipeline progression, and customer feedback within HubSpot CRM.

  • Produce regular reports on outreach performance, meetings scheduled, conversion metrics, and campaign effectiveness while sharing insights that help refine messaging and improve business development strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and cross-functional teams to ensure outreach initiatives align with broader business objectives and go-to-market strategies.

RequirementsWhat it takes to succeed
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify market opportunities and key business contacts.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging, personalised outreach messages.

  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot CRM, AI-powered outreach platforms, and other prospecting tools.

  • A consultative approach to customer engagement with the ability to build credibility, trust, and long-term relationships.

  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers.

  • Self-motivated, curious, and driven to continuously learn, improve, and contribute to business growth.

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or customer-facing roles, ideally within fintech, payment processing, SaaS, or financial services.

  • Demonstrated success in B2B prospecting, lead generation, customer engagement, and relationship development.

  • Experience using CRM platforms, sales engagement tools, email automation software, and AI-driven outreach solutions.

  • Experience attending industry conferences, networking events, or supporting event-based lead generation activities would be advantageous.

  • Previous experience within payments, fintech, or digital banking environments is highly desirable.
