About the company

Our client is a fast-growing HealthTech company revolutionizing how self-insured employers manage and reduce healthcare expenditures. By leveraging a proprietary AI-powered auditing platform, the team identifies billing errors, duplicate charges, and coding discrepancies in real-time before payments are processed. Their mission is to restore financial transparency to the healthcare industry, helping organizations capture significant savings while ensuring compliance and data security.

The team operates at the intersection of FinTech and healthcare, providing innovative tools for automated claims auditing, stop-loss risk monitoring, and financial aid discovery. With a focus on high-impact, data-driven solutions, this startup offers a collaborative and mission-oriented work environment dedicated to solving complex problems in medical billing. Candidates will join an agile group that prioritizes technical innovation and measurable results, contributing to a scalable platform that protects the bottom line for businesses across the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

This company is a healthcare technology startup on a mission to solve one of the most significant pain points in the U.S. financial landscape: the high cost of medical claims. By leveraging AI-powered auditing, the platform identifies billing errors in real-time for self-insured employers, ensuring they only pay for the care employees actually receive.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be the engine of our growth. This is a high-impact, independent role where you will help build our sales playbook from the ground up. You will work directly at the intersection of finance and healthcare, engaging with high-level executives (CFOs and Controllers) to drive pipeline velocity and help scale a pre-revenue venture into a market leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Apollo, targeting executive-level finance leaders.
  • Craft highly personalized, non-templated outreach and follow-up sequences to stand out in a complex market.
  • Manage and update pipeline activity within HubSpot to ensure data integrity and transparency.
  • Book and confirm discovery calls, maintaining a high show rate through effective pre-call communication.
  • Conduct initial screener conversations to qualify inbound leads from user research and interviews.
  • Support parallel outreach tracks to insurance brokers to expand our distribution network.
  • Iterate on messaging and targeting strategies based on data-driven feedback and engagement metrics.

Requirements
  • High level of intellectual curiosity; ability to quickly learn the complexities of medical claims auditing and hold credible conversations with senior finance leaders.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and an "early-stage" mindset—thriving in an environment where the playbook is still being written.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a pipeline independently without constant supervision.
  • Background in SaaS, Fintech, Healthcare, or Financial Services.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Hands-on experience with Apollo.io (list building, contact enrichment, and sequence management).
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn Sales Navigator for high-volume, personalized InMail outreach.
  • Prior experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM to manage sales stages.
  • Proven track record in lead qualification, cold calling, and conducting discovery calls.

Benefits

🚀 Rapid career progression: Early hires have a direct path to Account Executive or Sales Leadership roles.

🌎 Fully remote work environment.

📈 Exposure to the entire Go-To-Market strategy of an early-stage startup.

💰 Competitive compensation with future performance-based incentive planning.

🎓 Deep mentorship and the opportunity to help build a sales process from scratch.
