As a Sales Development Representative, you'll generate leads, engage with potential customers, and drive the sales process, making impactful first impressions while navigating enterprise sales cycles.

Arketa is building the operating system for modern fitness and wellness. Our mission is to make wellness more accessible by empowering studios and wellness entrepreneurs to grow beyond in-person classes. We provide a powerful, all-in-one platform to manage and scale hybrid wellness businesses—whether online, in-person, or both.

With Arketa, users can easily manage schedules, accept bookings and payments, build on-demand video libraries, host retreats, and run marketing campaigns via text and email. We also offer fully branded apps and websites, so studios can deliver a seamless, professional experience across every customer touchpoint.

We’ve raised $15M in Series A funding and are growing quickly. It’s a unique moment to join us—we’re building a category-defining company in a fast-moving space, and we’re looking for teammates who are excited to help shape the future of wellness.

The Role:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective customers, using creative outreach methods to introduce them to Arketa and demonstrate how we can help their business thrive.

You’ll focus on small and mid-sized wellness studios & entrepreneurs, driving outbound sales through high volume phone calls (4-6 hours per day), emails, social media messaging, and other innovative approaches. Your goal will be to build the initial connections with potential clients while managing your pipeline meticulously.

If you thrive on connecting with people, love fitness, and are eager to grow your career, this is your chance to make an impact.

Your 30/60/90 Expectations:

  • 30 Days: Generate our minimum of SQLs. Gain product, knowledge, meet the team and refine your sales skills

  • 60 days: Double our minimum of SQLs and push towards higher volume.

  • 90 days: Achieve the full monthly SQL quota, and this is just your launching pad…

What You’ll Do:

  • Connect with interested prospects: Reach out to leads from trials, events, content downloads, and marketing campaigns via phone, email, and SMS

  • Qualify and prioritize leads: Understand each prospect's business needs, timeline, and decision-making process to determine their fit with Arketa

  • Schedule high-quality demos: Set up meetings between qualified prospects and Account Executives, ensuring smooth handoffs with complete context

  • Become an Arketa expert: Understand our platform inside and out so you can speak confidently about how we solve real problems for fitness businesses

  • Keep everything organized: Maintain accurate records in HubSpot, track lead progression, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks

  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Marketing to optimize lead quality and provide feedback on campaign performance

  • Follow up strategically: Stay connected with prospects who aren't ready to move forward immediately, nurturing them until they're ready for next steps

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fitness Enthusiast: You’ve worked in a fitness studio and understand the ins and outs of studio software (bonus if you’ve used Arketa, Mindbody, Wellnessliving, Marianatek, or Momence).

  • Sales Talent Potential: You’re ready to dive into outbound efforts using phone, email, messaging, and creative outreach.

  • Strong Communicator: You can easily connect with people, articulate ideas clearly in both written and verbal communication, and excel at building rapport.

  • Grit & Determination: You’re someone who doesn’t shy away from the challenge of persistence and knows that each conversation, whether immediate or down the road, brings you closer to making a real impact. You thrive on connecting with people and are excited to overcome obstacles to drive results.

  • Organized & Driven: You can manage multiple priorities—whether it’s tracking leads, emails, calls, or social outreach—and you’re resourceful in problem-solving to meet business needs. You’ll keep your work updated in hubspot and our sales software tools.

  • Mission-Aligned: You’re passionate about wellness and excited to help fitness studios grow with Arketa’s innovative platform.

Nice to have:

  • Formal tech/SaaS sales experience

  • Has some cold-calling experience, ideally in SMB SaaS, selling to fitness studios, restaurants, or small businesses. Recruiting and real estate experience are also particularly relevant

  • Familiarity with Hubspot, Nooks (or a parallel dialer), Instagram, Loom, Vidyard and lead sources

  • BA/BS degree preferred but not required

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary, Stock Options, and Performance-based Bonuses

  • Comprehensive Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Wellness Reimbursement

  • Ownership and Opportunity for Advancement

For this role, the estimated annual base salary is up to $50,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We believe in compensating fairly and transparently, and we’re happy to provide more detail during the interview process.

Arketa is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to diversity in its workforce. We actively encourage applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters innovation and creativity, and we welcome candidates who share our values of respect, collaboration, and excellence.
