Sales Development Representative

PlanHub is a pre-construction bidding marketplace helping general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers connect and grow their businesses. Built with tradesmen in mind, PlanHub is designed around the user workflow to help boost productivity, maintain deadlines, increase revenue, and create relationships for general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Easily post projects or submit bids with anytime-anywhere collaboration for every commercial construction trade.

At PlanHub, we know growth starts with a strong sales team. That’s why we’re looking for Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) who can identify and connect with potential customers that would benefit from our preconstruction platform.

As the first point of contact with prospects, SDRs play a key role in our sales process. You’ll research leads, start meaningful conversations, and help set our sales team up for success. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong communication skills who can clearly articulate the value of our platform. Every conversation is an opportunity to drive revenue growth, expand our customer base, and help construction professionals find more projects through PlanHub.

What you'll be doing:

  • Become an expert at using lead generation tools to generate lists of target prospect accounts (Suppliers, General Contractors, and/or Sub-contractors.)
  • Qualify prospects based on their current business challenges and needs using targeted and relevant questions.
  • Schedule demo calls for our inside sales team.
  • Be proficient at using a sales development platform to execute the outreach process consisting of phone, email, and social touches.
  • Meet or exceed qualified lead/demos quota every month.
  • Strive to continuously improve your sales development process and demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices.
  • Represent and demonstrate our company values, brand, and mission.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Selling SaaS solutions/Inside Sales - Construction space preferred.
  • Performer. Consistent overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory. You need to be fearless, fast-paced, and have a growth-mindset.
  • Sales Cycle Expert. You have expertise at a higher level. You develop and lead prospects by applying analytics to specific business issues. You know how to “drive a deal.”
  • Evangelist. Highly driven individual with an execution focus, and a strong sense of urgency, and a belief in PlanHub’s mission. You can go beyond relationship management.
  • Team Player. You understand the early stage. You understand the need to work as a team for everyone to be successful. You know there are never enough resources, and every day presents a challenge. You thrive on “building it yourself” and the satisfaction it brings.
  • Excellent Communicator. You know what to say and more importantly, how and when to say it.
  • Working knowledge of current tech stack: HubSpot, G-Suite, Zoom.

What's in it for you:

The opportunity to join PlanHub, named to the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies, marking our fifth consecutive year on the list—a testament to sustained growth and momentum. You can make an immediate impact as PlanHub moves to dominate the industry!

PlanHub Offers:

  • An awesome culture where you will be empowered, make an impact, learn a ton,
  • Remote friendly
  • Open time-off policy
  • An excellent benefit package, including medical, dental, vision and life insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match

This role offers a base salary of up to $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, it includes monthly performance-based commissions earned by achieving sales targets. Commissions are calculated and paid out each month, with total on-target earnings (OTE) expected to be approximately $88,000 annually.
