Title and Summary
Sales Director DACH
Overview
Dynamic Yield is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Sales Director - someone with a true hunter mindset, who thrives on opening new doors, creating commercial momentum, and driving expansion with major Retail & Commerce brands. This is a role for someone who knows the highs and lows of a sales cycle, stays cool under pressure, and keeps their eyes fixed on the win.
Acting as a senior figure in the German and Eastern European team, and the initial voice of Dynamic Yield both within the wider Mastercard organization and externally, this position is for an experienced sales leader who can manage end-to-end complex deal cycles. You'll work closely with market development, sales engineering, and cross-functional teams to move opportunities from discovery through signature.
In this role, you'll network with top-tier digital, retail, and commerce executives, promote and educate the market on DY solutions, and consistently drive new opportunities across the region. This is a role for a detail-oriented, goal-driven go-getter with the interpersonal skills to influence at all levels - including C-Level conversations.
Responsibilities
Drive new business development across the CEE region, initiating and managing senior-level and C-level relationships with major Retail & Commerce brands, platforms, and digital-native enterprises.
Expand and deepen strategic client relationships to maximise the value and adoption of personalization and decisioning solutions.
Own regional pipeline management, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting against revenue targets and budget for the CEE Retail & Commerce segment.
Lead end-to-end sales execution - from prospecting and qualification through commercial negotiation and contract closure - with a focus on scalable, efficient processes.
Actively engage in closing large, complex, multi-market deals, contributing personally with a strong hunter mentality.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with regional and local Mastercard account directors, Retail & Commerce leads, and broader stakeholder teams across Central and Eastern Europe.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, implementation, and customer success to drive deals to signature and ensure seamless delivery.
Develop and articulate a clear regional sales strategy, aligning internal stakeholders with strategic priorities and growth initiatives.
Ensure world-class customer experiences through processes that support long-term revenue growth and retention.
Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and performance expectations for the CEE region.
All About You
Strong understanding of the CEE Retail & Commerce landscape, with proven experience creating commercial opportunities and closing deals in these markets.
Demonstrated track record of selling complex Retail, Commerce, or digital experience solutions to enterprise and Tier 1 clients across Europe, ideally with regional leadership responsibility for CEE.
Strategic and analytical mindset paired with a hands-on, execution-focused approach to driving growth.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead high-impact C-level conversations, articulate strategic value, and negotiate complex commercial agreements in a matrixed, international environment.
Fluency in German (written and spoken) is essential; strong English proficiency required. Eastern European languages are a significant advantage.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Strong negotiation experience, including ownership or support of multi-million-euro enterprise deals.
Technical acumen and industry knowledge to balance product, regulatory, and commercial considerations across diverse customer needs.
Ability to foster a collaborative, high-performance sales culture and work effectively across Mastercard's broader European organisation.
Customer-first mindset, with the ability to uncover needs and craft scalable solution strategies aligned with global objectives.
Corporate Security Responsibility
