About VulnCheck

VulnCheck is transforming vulnerability intelligence by helping security teams automate defenses with machines instead of people. Our data delivers early, high-quality exploit intelligence, deep asset correlation, and contextual insights to help organizations stay ahead of emerging threats.

About the Role

We're looking for a proven Government Sales professional based in the Maryland area to join VulnCheck's fast-growing team. This is a hunter role built for a driven seller who can navigate complex federal buying cycles and thrive in the environment of an early-stage cyber company.

You'll play a critical role in growing VulnCheck's presence across Defense and Intelligence agencies, with a strong focus on net-new revenue within target agencies focused on Mission-level outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and grow a named set of agencies, with a focus on net-new revenue and strategic expansion.
  • Drive new business by qualifying, developing, and closing high-value opportunities across DoD, DoE, and IC accounts.
  • Maintain a strategic pipeline with accurate forecasting in Salesforce. Lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and partner collaboration (channel, reseller, and contract vehicles) through negotiation and close.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product, and Marketing to tailor solutions to agency requirements.
  • Carry use cases from existing Defense and Intelligence agencies into net-new agencies highlighting the depth and breadth of VulnCheck data into every day critical operations within the government.
You might be a great fit if you:
  • Have 5+ years of sales experience in cybersecurity with a focus on Defense and Intelligence agencies.
  • Have a proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals with multi-stakeholder and dynamic buying cycles.
  • Are experienced navigating federal procurement processes, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, SEWP, GWACs), and government acquisition timelines.
  • Thrive in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Are comfortable using modern sales tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Take a consultative, technically literate approach to solution selling.
Qualifications (Required)
  • Experience selling within one or more of the following domains:
    • Attack Surface Management (ASM)
    • Vulnerability Management (VM)
    • Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)
  • Existing relationships with government CISOs, agency security leaders, or program managers.
  • Experience selling into federal civilian agencies, DoD, or intelligence community organizations.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability feeds, CVE scoring systems, or exploit intelligence.
  • Experience working in hybrid or distributed teams.
