Open Finance is a worldwide phenomenon, that has been accelerating in many markets driven by the commercial opportunities it presents for banks, fintechs, PSPs and Digital Players.
The Europe Open Finance team is looking for a Director, Product Sales. This position will be responsible for managing and expanding existing customer relationships with strategic accounts, tapping into new markets to generate and qualify leads, promote products and services, and drive sales.
Responsibilities• Contribute to new client business development by initiating contact with potential new customers and managing opportunities through the sales pipeline to a successful close, further extending our customer base and revenue.• Progress deals along the pipeline by supporting the sales team and ensuring all clients utilize the full potential of open banking • Forecast the growth and report on the tracking compared to budget of the banking segment• Own and nurture our client relationships including implementing a streamlined processes that support high-quality customer experiences and revenue growth • Drive of the sales process, from prospecting to executing commercial contracts, ensuring a seamless and efficient sales cycles. • Build and maintain a relationship with regional and local Mastercard account directors and open banking leads in local European markets • Responsible for achieving sales targets, revenue goals, and sales projections, consistently delivering outstanding personal performance• Manage stakeholder relationship and communicating internally about the sales strategy and setting up cross functional teams to drive sales forward • Actively being involved in sales, closing large deals end to end, leading by example• Collaborate closely with other team members to move sales processes into signed deals
All About You• Strong understanding of the payments landscape and experience creating payment opportunities • Track record of selling banking solutions to Enterprise clients within Europe. (e.g. leadership experience across Europe for a multinational bank) • Strategic, analytic capability matched by a go-to mentality • Ability to work closely with executives to present Europe Open Finance strategic vision and negotiate effectively on behalf of the company as well as by working independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to stakeholders. • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and a command of a second European language fluently (written and spoken) • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively to multiple stakeholders • Strong negotiation skills. You've supported complex multi-million euro deals• Technical acumen and industry knowledge to effectively balance the demands being placed on a defined area of a product from a broad range of internal and external stakeholders • Ability to foster a team-orientated environment within the sales group and collaborate effectively with other colleagues across Mastercard to drive collective success• Have a customer first attitude, capable of uncovering customer needs and crafting innovative global customer strategies
