We are part of the Hoerbiger Group, an international industrial technology company with a strong global presence.

We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Sales Engineer to support and expand our business across Europe. This role combines technical sales expertise with strategic business development and focuses on identifying, developing, and closing complex opportunities across multiple regions.

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for customer acquisition, customer relationship management, project leadership, and the preparation of quotations, primarily within the laser and semiconductor industries. You will work closely with an international team and play a key role in driving strategic growth across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across Europe, with a focus on strategic and high-value deals
  • Manage and grow relationships with key customers and accounts
  • Lead and coordinate complex, multi-country sales processes
  • Take ownership of customer acquisition and long-term relationship management
  • Lead customer projects in collaboration with application engineers and internal teams
  • Prepare and manage technical and commercial quotations
  • Support the development and execution of European go-to-market strategies
  • Represent the company in international events, customer meetings, and industry activities
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to support business growth

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Support teams
  • Act as a key interface between customers and internal stakeholders
  • Provide market and customer insights to support product and business strategy

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, or Business Development
  • Strong technical understanding of Motion Control
  • Proven track record in developing and closing new business opportunities
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage
  • Willingness to travel across Europe (approx. 30–50%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with servo drives and motion controllers
  • Experience working with OEMs, machine builders, or system integrators
  • Experience in an international, cross-regional sales environment
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Location

  • Based in Europe, with focus on the DACH region (Southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
