What We Offer
This is an opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join our Strategic Accounts Sales Team, supporting hyperscale, AI-focused, and large enterprise customers. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with complex customer environments while developing core sales engineering skills through mentorship and collaboration with experienced Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and Account teams. You will be exposed to high-impact customer engagements, including technical discovery, demonstrations, and proofs of concept, while building the foundation to grow into a senior sales engineering role over time.
 
What You Will Do
  • Partner with Strategic Account Sales Representatives and Solution Architects to support business development activities within targeted strategic accounts
  • Participate in technical discovery to understand and document customer environments, requirements, and success criteria
  • Design and deliver product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases
  • Support and execute proofs of concept (POCs), including setup, validation, and measurement of success, with guidance from senior team members
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices throughout the sales cycle
  • Build and maintain productive technical relationships with customer stakeholders
  • Assist with responses to technical questions, including RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and supplier questionnaires
  • Support customer escalations by working with Support and Engineering teams as needed
  • Capture and share customer feedback and feature input with Product Management
  • Maintain lab environments and reference configurations used to support customer engagements
  • Travel to customer sites and events as required to support strategic engagements
 
Who You Are and What You Bring
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer selling and supporting technical solutions to end users, preferably in the networking field
  • Experience working with customers as part of a sales or pre-sales team, supporting technical activities
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks independently while delivering results with guidance and mentorship
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism, work ethic, and customer focus
  • Experience creating and reviewing network diagrams and technical documentation
  • Willingness to travel to support customer and prospect engagements
 
Desired But Not Required
  • Foundational understanding of networking technologies, infrastructure, and out-of-band (OOB) management concepts
  • Familiarity or exposure with infrastructure management systems used in larger or more complex environments
  • Exposure to or interest in automation frameworks, orchestration tools, or infrastructure-as-code concepts
  • Basic understanding of service process management, operational workflows, or ITIL-aligned environments
  • Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, scripting, or REST APIs
  • Awareness of 5G or LTE cellular technologies

The anticipated pay range for this position is $132,000 – $206,500, which includes base salary + commission target.  Pay ranges are determined by role, job level and primary job location.  The range displayed reflects the reasonable range we anticipate paying for this position and reflects the cost of labor within several U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary and commission offered within the range will depend on various factors including, but not limited to the candidate’s relevant and prior experience, education, skills, and primary work location.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Pay ranges are typically reviewed and updated annually.
