About this role: 

As a Sales Engineer, you will partner with Sales to drive successful deals by showcasing deep product expertise and acting as a trusted technical advisor. You’ll lead discovery, navigate complex conversations, and simplify technical concepts into clear, actionable narratives that inspire customer confidence and drive long-term value. This role blends strategic insight with client-facing acumen, making you the bridge between Liftoff’s technology and customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor for our customers, leading strategic conversations on attribution, measurement, and performance optimization.
  • Partner with Sales to craft technical narratives, identify opportunities, and maximize client value.
  • Lead discovery sessions, handle objections, and align stakeholders across teams.
  • Translate complex product capabilities and data flows into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Train and enable clients and internal teams on best practices, features, and industry trends.
  • Investigate performance issues, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Capture client feedback to influence product improvements, tooling, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Stay ahead of ad tech and privacy trends, translating them into guidance for Sales and Product.

Requirements: 

  • Proven success in client-facing roles with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts and connect them to business outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with experience in attribution and programmatic advertising.
  • Comfortable engaging technical stakeholders and providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • 10–25% travel required.

Nice to have: 

  • SQL experience is a plus.

Location:

This role is in any of our entities in the Pacific Standard Zone: CA, OR, NV and WA.

We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City and Los Angeles.

Travel Expectations:

We offer several opportunities for in-person team gatherings, including but not limited to project meetings, regional meetups, and company-wide events. We expect our employees to attend these gatherings at least once per quarter. These gatherings provide essential opportunities for collaboration, communication, and team building.

Compensation: 

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges with an additional variable quarterly bonus:

  • SF Bay Area, New York City, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle: $126,350 to $146,300 (OTE)
  • Olympia, Austin, Boston, San Diego, Santa Barbara: $116,242 - $134,596 (OTE)
  • All other cities in our approved to hire states: $107,398 - $124,355 (OTE)
