About Unify

Unify was founded January 17th, 2023 by Austin Hughes and Connor Heggie. Prior to Unify, Austin led Ramp’s growth product team focused on new customer acquisition, and Connor was a machine learning research engineer at Scale AI. The rest of our team comes from companies like Airbnb, Spotify, Bridgewater and LinkedIn.

Our mission is to build the first system-of-action for go-to-market teams, starting with an end-to-end platform powering warm outbound. Today, outbound sales is dominated by cold, mass outreach that floods people's inboxes and converts to deals at a tiny rate. We’re building a platform to power warm outbound, allowing go-to-market teams to get in touch with the right people at the exact time they’re looking for a solution.

We've grown revenue 8x year-over-year, and are already serving customers like Guru, Justworks, Together.AI, Flock Safety, Hightouch and more. We’re a high energy, high intensity team and we’ve raised $58M from Thrive, Emergence, OpenAI and others. Come join us in changing how go-to-market works.

Our Values (You'll Live These Every Day)

  • Unified Team

    • Stay humble, supportive, and collaborative. We win together—and that’s how we roll.

  • Get Your Rock Done

    • Success comes from prioritized, consistent progress. Tackle one impactful step at a time.

  • Give a Sh*t

    • Take ownership, dig deep, and be accountable. Bring passion—and it’ll shine in your work.

  • Do What’s Best for the Customer

    • Drive every decision with customer value in mind. Listen, iterate fast, and always optimize our impact.

About the Role

As a Upmarket Sales Engineer at Unify, you’ll be the technical face of our product, partnering closely with Account Executives and prospects to help them understand and realize the value of Unify. You’ll translate customer pain points into tailored solutions, deliver high-impact demos, support pilots and proof-of-values, and collaborate cross-functionally to advocate for customer needs and product improvements.

This role is onsite in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY (3 days/week).

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Account Executives as the technical lead in customer conversations.

  • Lead discovery calls and translate needs into tailored technical solutions.

  • Deliver compelling demos showcasing Signals, Plays, Sequences, AI Agents, and Dashboards.

  • Support pilots and PoVs, guiding technical setup and ensuring success.

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to share feedback and improve the offering.

  • Prepare collateral including architectures, competitive analyses, and customer-facing materials.

  • Stay sharp on Unify’s roadmap and the competitive landscape to inform positioning.

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar role (ideally in SaaS / GTM platforms).

  • Strong grasp of prospecting, outbound/inbound workflows, and AI-driven personalization.

  • Excellent demo skills. You can clearly explain complex workflows to different stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills; able to simplify technical concepts for customers and internal teams.

  • Curious, adaptive, and iterative. You are always learning from customer feedback.

  • Aligned with Unify’s values: humility, ownership, structured progress, and customer-first thinking.

  • Bonus: familiarity with Unify’s product offerings, RevOps tools, and integrations in the growth/marketing stack.

Compensation

The candidate selected for this position will receive an annual salary (based on experience), with a target equity package and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options.

This position is hybrid in San Francisco, CA, or New York City, NY, offering the invaluable opportunity to work closely with a talented team in a dynamic, high-energy environment. Being in-person enables real-time collaboration, fosters creative problem-solving, and strengthens the connections that drive innovation and impact. You'll be at the center of our fast-paced operations, contributing to a culture that values engagement, growth, and teamwork.
