The Role

We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to sit at the intersection of product and sales—helping energy developers, asset owners, and operators understand how Tyba’s platform fits into their workflows and delivers real business value.

This is a highly technical, customer-facing role. You’ll support the sales process by demonstrating the product, answering deep technical questions, and designing solutions tailored to specific markets and use cases.

If you enjoy translating complex systems into practical solutions, working closely with customers, and shaping how a product is adopted in the real world, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Sales & Deal Support

  • Lead technical demos and presentations, tailoring them to customer segments, markets, and maturity levels.

  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex customer questions in partnership with Sales.

  • Respond to technical questions, RFPs, and security or architecture reviews with confidence and clarity.

  • Deliver expertise, custom support, and integration guidance for trial engagements, serving as a customer-facing partner to deliver insights and support throughout the process.

  • Translate customer goals and constraints into clear design asks for Tyba’s engineering team to execute in Tyba’s platform.

Product & Market Feedback

  • Develop a deep understanding of how Tyba’s product works across different ISOs, markets, and asset types.

  • Bring structured feedback from customers back to Product and Engineering—highlighting gaps, opportunities, and recurring needs.

  • Help identify new use cases, market expansions, or product enhancements based on customer conversations.

Required Skills

  • 3–6 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Technical Consultant, ideally in B2B SaaS or Energy.

  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience supporting complex, consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.

  • Comfort working with data-driven products, modeling tools, or analytics platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills—clear, structured, and customer-centric.

  • A learner’s mindset and curiosity about energy markets, grid operations, and distributed energy systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in energy, renewables, grid software, or infrastructure technology.

  • Familiarity with ISO/RTO markets, battery storage, or project finance workflows.

  • Experience working in early-stage or fast-growing startups.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: $150 - $190k
