Voyant Photonics is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager – LiDAR Chip Solutions to lead strategic business development and customer engagement for our LiDAR chip product line. This role focuses on building partnerships with Tier-1 system integrators and OEMs across robotics, industrial automation, consumer electronics, and autonomous systems, including companies like Amazon Robotics, SICK, Apple, and Meta.

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the robotics, photonics, and sensor integration markets, along with a strong network and proven success in driving design wins and long-term commercial relationships. You’ll play a pivotal role in growing module revenue, supporting product launches such as the Carbon and Helium modules, and establishing Voyant as the partner of choice for LiDAR sensing technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a global sales strategy for LiDAR chipsets, targeting key verticals including robotics, industrial automation, consumer electronics, and autonomous systems.

  • Identify, qualify, and close strategic accounts with major integrators, OEMs, and module manufacturers.

  • Build and maintain executive relationships with decision-makers across product, R&D, and procurement functions.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to translate technical capabilities into customer value and ensure alignment with customer needs.

  • Drive design-in and design-win activities to secure integration of Voyant’s LiDAR chipsets into customer systems.

  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements, including pricing, licensing, and volume supply contracts.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer roadmaps to inform strategy and guide internal development priorities.

  • Represent Voyant at industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences to expand visibility and grow the partner ecosystem.

  • Deliver measurable results against KPIs such as contracts signed and revenue generated.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor, photonics, or sensing component sales.

  • Proven success driving business development and contract negotiations with Tier-1 customers.

  • Strong understanding of chip components, depth sensing, and photonics-based sensing technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close complex deals across global markets.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and business audiences.

  • Willingness to travel up to twice per month for customer meetings and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling LiDAR, imaging, or sensor modules into robotics, automotive, or consumer electronics markets.

  • Established network within the robotics, photonics, or depth sensing ecosystem.

  • Background in startups or emerging technology companies where adaptability and ownership are key.

  • Highly motivated, sales-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
