The college application process is a journey, and with Interface, students will discover who they are, their integral motivation, their passions, their wants, and then identify schools that will help them accomplish their long-term goals.
 What's the Job?

We’re looking for a bilingual Sales Manager (Mandarin and English) with a true hunter mentality to own this market—someone who can generate pipeline, build trust with highly sophisticated families, and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships. We are looking for a seasoned Sales Manager who is based in the Bay Area, one of our focused markets, with strong momentum from referrals, events, and existing demand.

This role is ideal for someone who is:

  • Proactive in closing high-dollar deals, with an established track record in college counseling or education
  • Resourceful in creating opportunities from scratch to generate leads
  • Consultative and strategic in guiding families through a high-consideration decision
Here are some typical responsibilities. These are the must-haves

You’ll own the full sales cycle

  • Prospect, qualify, consult, and close new families
  • Lead high-touch conversations with parents to understand goals, concerns, and aspirations
  • Translate a complex, multi-year service into clear, compelling value

You’ll build pipeline from the ground up

  • Drive outbound efforts through community engagement, referrals, events, and partnerships. Occasional weekend events in the Bay Area and within the US
  • Activate local networks (schools, parent groups, community organizations)
  • Follow up consistently and thoughtfully to nurture long-cycle opportunities

You’ll act as a trusted advisor

  • Help families navigate U.S. vs. U.K. pathways and long-term positioning
  • Build credibility with high-expectation, globally minded parents
  • Create a differentiated experience that reflects Interface’s values and depth

You’ll operate with discipline and ownership
  • Manage pipeline, forecasts, and activity in CRM with good data hygiene
  • Maintain strong follow-through across every interaction
  • Partner cross-functionally with counseling and leadership teams

Nice to have

  • Revenue enablement experience with basic design (such as using Canva) and customization

Who You Are

Bilingual & culturally fluent

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (required)
  • Comfortable working with globally minded, high-context families

Proven closer with a hunter mindset

  • 5+ years in sales, business development, or client-facing roles
  • Track record of generating your own pipeline and closing high-value deals
  • Comfortable with ambiguity—you don’t wait for leads; you create them

Consultative and strategic

  • Able to diagnose needs quickly and guide nuanced conversations
  • Thrive in longer, relationship-driven sales cycles (not transactional)
  • Strong judgment and ability to tailor approach to each family

High ownership, high growth mindset

  • Self-driven, proactive, and internally motivated
  • Open to feedback and continuous improvement
  • Excited by the opportunity to grow within the sales team
Compensation & Benefits
  • On-target earnings (OTE): $130,000 - $150,000 range. Eligible for commission based on revenue generated
    • Base Salary: $65,000–$80,000, depending on experience
    • Performance Bonus: Eligible for an additional bonus based on activity and conversion performance, targeting $65,000–$80,000
  • Benefits: Health stipend, 15 days PTO, and 10 public holidays
