About Us

MarketAxess is on a journey to digitally transform one of the world’s largest financial markets, enabling the shift from analog, phone-based trading to a fully electronic marketplace. Why does this matter? Because our platform makes trading fixed-income more accessible, ultimately improving transparency, efficiency, and competition in the marketplace. Changing the way an established industry transacts is no easy feat. There will be twists and turns, because no one’s ever done this before. But now, more than 2,000 clients around the world rely on our solutions, and that number is only expected to grow in the years ahead. We know where we’re going. How we get there is up to us. Join us and help Take Us There.

The Role

We are looking for a commercially driven hire to join the Dealer Sales team with a clear mandate to grow business across the US Credit dealer franchise. This role focuses on increasing dealer participation, improving workflow usage, and deepening engagement with trading desks. It sits at the intersection of relationship management, market structure, and electronic trading.

The successful candidate will work to remove barriers to adoption, improve execution outcomes, and drive consistent growth in dealer‑initiated activity. Alongside this, the role requires consistent day‑to‑day dealer coverage, including regular interaction with trading desks and structured performance reviews throughout the year. A core part of the role is the active use of AI and data‑driven workflows to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and scale coverage across the dealer network.

How You’ll Help Take Us There

Dealer Liquidity Growth (Primary Focus)

  • Drive dealer-initiated and new protocol opportunities
  • Increase dealer participation, repeat usage, and engagement with trading workflows
  • Identify gaps in activity and execute targeted plans to improve performance across priority accounts

Dealer Coverage and Relationship Management

  • Provide consistent day‑to‑day coverage of assigned dealers, maintaining regular contact with traders and key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with dealer traders, algo desks, and heads of trading
  • Lead structured periodic reviews (monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc) focused on performance, workflow usage, and growth opportunities
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for dealer queries, workflow support, and issue resolution

Analytics and Performance Management

  • Use internal data to analyze dealer activity, including hit rates, response behavior, and participation trends
  • Translate data into clear insights and actionable talking points for dealer conversations
  • Track progress against growth objectives and refine strategy based on results

Cross‑Functional Execution

  • Work across internal desks to convert opportunities into execution and improve outcomes for dealers
  • Partner with Product, Support, and Integration teams to resolve workflow issues and improve usability
  • Capture structured dealer feedback and feed into product development priorities

AI & Data‑Driven Growth Mandate

  • This role is expected to actively use AI tools to improve performance, scale coverage, and drive commercial outcomes
  • Improve speed and quality of decision‑making by combining AI outputs with market understanding

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 6–12 months, this person should:

  • Increase the number of active dealers and traders using dealer-initiated protocols
  • Improve repeat participation and consistency of general dealer activity
  • Identify and unlock new sources of liquidity across key accounts
  • Contribute to measurable growth in dealer volumes and engagement

What We’re Looking for

  • Experience in fixed income markets, electronic trading, dealer sales, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of dealer workflows, particularly RFQ‑based trading
  • Experience working with trading desks or client‑facing roles in financial markets
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to drive activity and change behaviour
  • Analytical capability, with comfort working with trading data and performance metrics
  • Ability to translate data into clear, practical insights for clients and internal teams
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with trading desks
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support daily workflow and improve output quality
  • Able to structure prompts, extract useful insights, and apply them in a commercial context
  • Uses AI to enhance analysis, preparation, and decision‑making rather than relying solely on manual processes
  • Curious and proactive in testing new tools and approaches
  • Proactive and self‑starting, with the ability to build momentum in a growth area
  • Comfortable working across teams and navigating ambiguity
  • Interested in market structure, workflow evolution, and electronic trading trends
