About the Role

At LendingClub, we put our customers at the center of everything we do. Our Embedded Lending team builds financing experiences that are seamlessly integrated at the point of sale, helping merchants grow while giving customers access to affordable, transparent credit.
LendingClub Embedded Lending enables lending experiences across third-party platforms, aggregators, and merchant ecosystems. We help partners embed flexible, compliant financing solutions powered by LendingClub’s technology and underwriting capabilities, accelerating partner growth and customer satisfaction across a range of verticals.
The Technical Partner Manager plays a critical role in scaling integrations, demonstrating technical value, and enabling partners from discovery through production launch and beyond. As a Technical Partner Manager, you will serve as a trusted technical partner to both internal teams and external partners throughout the integration lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Technical Pre-Sales Leadership

  • Act as the primary technical advisor across the partner lifecycle, from early discovery and scoping through onboarding and launch
  • Partner closely with Business Development and Sales to translate partner needs into scalable technical solutions and integration strategies
  • Deliver technical presentations, API walkthroughs, custom demos, and proof-of-concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences

API & Platform Integration Expertise

  • Collaborate with Engineering on the design, documentation, and validation of integration patterns, including REST APIs, webhooks, data schemas, and security models
  • Work directly with partner engineering teams on architecture decisions, performance requirements, error handling, and testing plans
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure integrations meet compliance, data governance, scalability, and security standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Translate product capabilities and roadmap into partner-ready solutions and provide clear technical feedback to Product and Engineering
  • Support RFP and RFI responses, technical briefs, standards documentation, and partner enablement materials
  • Partner with Sales Operations to build repeatable onboarding workflows and smooth handoff processes

Post-Sales Support & Enablement

  • Serve as a technical escalation point, troubleshooting integration issues and ensuring operational continuity
  • Enable internal teams including Sales, Solutions, and Customer Success with training and technical resources
  • Track key technical metrics and contribute to reporting that informs partner adoption and performance

About You

  • 4+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, or a similar technical pre-sales role, ideally within fintech, platform, or SaaS environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong understanding of API technologies including REST/JSON, OAuth, webhooks, SDKs, and developer tooling
  • Hands-on experience supporting full integration lifecycles, sandbox environments, and partner troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts and connect them to business value
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with Sales, Product, Engineering, and cross-functional partners
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent integrations with strong attention to detail
  • Consultative, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for learning and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with embedded finance, lending APIs, payments, or credit and risk workflows
  • Familiarity with fintech compliance and security frameworks such as PCI or SOC 2
  • Experience creating technical content such as onboarding guides, API documentation, tutorials, or playbooks

Work Location
San Francisco
The above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. LendingClub offers relocation, based on actual job level.
Time Zone Requirements
Primarily PT
While the position will primarily work local hours, LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.
Travel Requirements
As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations, as needed.
Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 136,000-159,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClub’s Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings).
