Qualifications
At least five years of experience in business development, sales, partner management, or related go-to-market roles, including:
- Demonstrated success supporting strategic sales initiatives tied to cloud, security, application delivery, or edge computing technologies.
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic technology partners and ecosystem providers.
- Ability to collaborate with network, cloud, and security partners to support Akamai’s solution portfolio.
- Strong organizational, time management, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
- Passion for learning emerging technologies, especially in cloud security, zero trust, CDN, and edge compute.
- Effective presentation and communication skills with technical and executive audiences.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $100,000-125,000 + commission. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Requirements
In collaboration with consultants, executives, regional architects, and sales leadership:
- Identify and drive new business opportunities across the field organization, focusing on Akamai’s cloud security, CDN, and edge computing solutions.
- Promote Akamai solution architectures and configurations based on customer-specific requirements, ensuring high-performance, secure digital experiences.
- Develop and deliver field-focused enablement materials including messaging, workshops, briefs, reference architectures, demos, and sales tools that support customer-facing teams.
- Manage and execute strategic programs with key partners, particularly those within Akamai’s cybersecurity, cloud, and application performance ecosystems.
- Develop and strengthen partner relationships that complement Akamai’s go-to-market strategy and expand the reach of edge security, application delivery, and cloud computing solutions.
- Drive partner product updates, launches, and roadmap alignment, ensuring internal teams are informed and positioned to capitalize on new capabilities.
- Assist in building and executing go-to-market strategies that accelerate Akamai’s security and edge platform business, including customer events, field trainings, and solution roadshows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal practices, partner management, sales operations, and marketing to accelerate cloud and security business growth.
- Work closely with Marketing to promote Akamai’s security, edge compute, and performance capabilities across campaigns, events, and digital programs.
