About the role: 


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Strategist to join Unison Investment Management. This role will be pivotal in directly supporting the VP of Business Development and Investment Strategy with the delivery of customized investment strategy materials, client-requested deliverables, and presentation creation. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of quantitative skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively across various internal teams, and will also provide ad-hoc support to the broader Investment Strategy team as needed.

This is a hybrid position with the requirement of 3 full days in our San Francisco, CA office. 


Responsibilities: 


  • Client Presentation & Reporting:
    • Develop and update client presentations, investment reports, and other marketing materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency with firm branding and messaging. This process will include significant internal collaboration to gather necessary information from various departments.
    • Prepare and maintain performance reports, attribution analyses, and other quantitative data for client presentations.
    • Produce high-quality deliverables that effectively communicate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Work with a third-party compliance team to ensure all prepared materials meet regulatory standards and receive necessary approvals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Act as a liaison between investment teams and client-facing teams to ensure alignment on client needs and expectations.
    • Work cross-functionally with investment strategy, data science, research analysts, sales, and client service teams to gather information and finalize client-requested deliverables.
    • Coordinate and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery of client materials.
  • Quantitative Analysis & Support:
    • Conduct quantitative analysis to support investment strategy development and performance reporting.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of investment models and databases.
    • Perform data analysis and interpretation to identify trends and insights relevant to client portfolios.
    • Perform basic calculations such as standard deviation, mean, variance, and correlation.
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    • Monitor market trends and economic indicators to provide insights for investment strategy development and client communications.
    • Conduct research on investment products and strategies to support the development of new offerings.
    • Interpret basic statistical data and graphs.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in client reporting and presentation development.
    • Maintain documentation and procedures related to client deliverables.

About you: 


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment management, financial services, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of portfolio management principles.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and investment products.
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience with data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg
