About Harbor

Harbor is insurance for the agentic economy. Banks, insurers, hospitals and law firms are handing real decisions to AI agents: approving loans, pricing policies, moving money, advising customers, thousands of times a day. When one gets it wrong, nobody knows who is liable, and insurers are excluding AI from existing policies because there is no claims history to price it.

We fix that. Our platform finds every agent a company runs, measures its operational, security and regulatory risk against a framework mapped to NIST AI RMF, SR 26-2 and the EU AI Act, and blocks the decisions that break the company's rules before they go through. Then we insure the risk that remains, with our own money behind the answer.

We emerged from stealth in October 2026 with $10M in seed funding from Base10 Partners, Abstract and 8VC. Born out of Stanford, Harbor brings together AI researchers, engineers, IMO and IOI medalists, former founders, and insurance leaders, with the shared mission of building the risk infrastructure for AI.

About the role

You will be one of the first salespeople at Harbor, selling a new kind of product to the most careful buyers in the world: banks, insurers and other regulated companies that want to deploy AI agents and cannot afford to be the next headline. You will carry deals from first conversation to signed pilot to expansion, alongside the founders, and you will shape how Harbor sells for the years after you.

What you will do
  • Own a pipeline of enterprise accounts in financial services and insurance, across the United States, Europe and Latin America.

  • Run the full cycle: prospecting, discovery, pilots, security and procurement, contract, expansion.

  • Sell to Chief Risk Officers, CISOs, heads of AI and innovation, and the underwriting and compliance teams around them.

  • Work pilots with Engineering and Underwriting so the customer sees value in weeks, not quarters.

  • Build the playbook: the questions that qualify, the objections that recur, the proof that closes, and the process that lets the next hire ramp fast.

Who we are looking for
  • Several years closing complex B2B deals with multiple stakeholders and long cycles, ideally in financial services, insurance, security or AI.

  • A record of selling something new, where you had to create the budget rather than find it.

  • You are technical enough to demo the product yourself and to understand a customer's agent architecture when their engineers describe it.

  • Rigorous on process and pipeline, honest about forecasts, allergic to surprises.

  • You like the early days: no territory, no playbook, no marketing engine yet.

Nice to have
  • Relationships in banking, insurance or reinsurance.

  • Experience selling risk, compliance or security products.

  • Spanish or another European language.

How we work
  • Founder mentality: Everyone owns a piece of the company, not a job description.

  • Ownership over outcomes: You decide, you ship, you answer for the result.

  • High pace: We decide in days, ship in weeks, and fix what we got wrong just as quickly.

  • Good hearts: Direct, demanding and kind.

  • Hybrid in San Francisco.

What we offer
  • Competitive salary and meaningful early-stage equity.

  • Medical, dental and vision for you and your dependents.

  • Unlimited paid time off.

  • Relocation support to San Francisco.

Harbor is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on what you can do. If you need an accommodation during the process, tell us and we will arrange it.
