Manager, Business Development (Multiple Locations)
**Considering candidates in San Mateo, Santa Barbara, or US-based remote**
The Manager, Business Development is a critical part of Evidation’s go to market approach, responsible for creating transformational collaborations with life sciences companies. These programs are designed to unlock the value of everyday behavior data for real world evidence generation and innovative patient services. In this role, you will be directly responsible for growing our existing base of customers and identifying opportunities with new customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and grow strong strategic customer relationships within a territory of accounts
- Work consultatively with customers to help them understand how Evidation’s unique offering and experience enables transformational value
- Create and execute a sales strategy to land and expand our presence with customer accounts – developing deep relationships and increasing revenue
- Identify and close client engagements for stand-alone evidence generation projects and continuous access subscription offering
- Achieve revenue and margin targets
- Work with delivery teams to ensure delivery of studies to a high standard and in a timely manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction so that our solutions and capabilities can be more effectively integrated and embedded within client organizations leading to repeat business with those customers
- Appropriately manage individual territory to identify opportunities, generate leads, build sales pipeline, retain/expand revenue and relationships
- Utilize sales tools (ex SalesForce) to appropriately manage full customer engagement process, identify and develop opportunities, generate leads, build sales pipeline etc.
- Manage sales pipeline and accurately forecast sales to senior management
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred
- 6+ years of experience in selling research and/or real world evidence (RWE) services to pharmaceutical, medtech and biotech clients
- 3+ years experience in key account management role supporting pharmaceutical, medtech and biotech clients
- Proven experience growing client relationships
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and driven
- Excellent interpersonal communication/presentation skills
- Ability to work with cross functional teams to successfully deliver client projects/programs
- Thrives in complex, ambiguous, and fast-paced environments
- Must be comfortable creating and iterating complex proposals/contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly Medical/Clinical functions
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance environment in the US
- Experience selling to medical, clinical, RWE, commercial and digital groups
- Demonstrated ability to sell research studies/projects
