Sales Engineer

About the role
As an Afresh Sales Engineer, you will be a key member of the Afresh sales engine and will be responsible for providing excellent technical support to the sales team. You will be the expert on Afresh’s Produce solution and all upcoming product development. Within this role, you will be responsible for executing great demos which demonstrate Afresh’s unique approach in managing Fresh store operations, scoping deployments with customer IT stakeholders, and completing required technical and security questions from customers. You will also work across teams including Deployment, Success, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Create & lead presentations, product demos, and technical overviews of Afresh products
- Manage relationships with IT stakeholders throughout the pre-sales cycle
- Qualify sales opportunities based on their technical feasibility
- Lead discovery workshops intended to map a prospect’s available data sources to Afresh data requirements grounding the discussion in business value & outcomes
- Develop clear scopes of work based on technical qualification, customer requirements, and timelines
- Respond to security questionnaires
- Work cross functionally to enable seamless handoffs with Deployment and Engineering teams and a superior customer experience
- Become a Afresh product expert and continue to develop your cloud-software and machine learning skills
Skills and experience

- 5+ years enterprise SaaS experience
- Experience with technological systems in brick & mortar retail (ideally grocery) a strong plus
- Experience with data warehousing, machine learning, and APIs a strong plus
- Strong familiarity with SOC2 compliance and enterprise security requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent technical presentation skills
- Highly organized and results-oriented
- Ability to work independently and productively under pressure
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
