Salesforce Developer - Experience Cloud
Location: Remote (US-based, DC Metro Area preferred). Possible in-person expectations include visits with customers, Salesforce offices, and Thunder offices in Tysons Corner, VA.
Employment Type: This is a contingent role based upon a successful bid award.
Role Summary:
The Federal Salesforce Experience Cloud Developer designs, develops, and deploys secure, high-impact digital communication solutions within Federal environments. This role combines technical expertise in marketing automation with the rigorous security standards required for Federal delivery. You will collaborate with architects and stakeholders to implement customized, scalable solutions that comply with Federal data privacy and mission requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Builds campaigns, automations, and personalized communications using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio within cleared environments.
- Develop responsive email templates and Cloud Pages utilizing AMPscript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
- Support secure integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Federal legacy systems using APIs (REST/SOAP) and secure data flow protocols.
- Follow Federal cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and Salesforce development best practices to ensure data compliance and privacy.
- Support testing, debugging, and resolution of issues during UAT and deployment in complex Federal environments.
- Partner with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to translate mission requirements into secure technical designs.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, or APIs) with at least 2 years specifically focused on Experience Cloud
- Extensive knowledge of AMPscript, SQL, and building comprehensive customer journeys.
- Experience with secure development practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines in Federal delivery environments.
- Practical expertise in Agile methodology, including managing scrum calls and prioritizing backlogs for complex programs.
- Proven working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Agentforce and Salesforce AI capabilities.
- US Citizenship required, and willingness to obtain security clearance(s)
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Required: Salesforce Platform Developer I
- Preferred: Salesforce Experience Cloud certifications
