Role Overview:

This role is part of the SAP External Reporting Organization, which has a global presence across Manila, San José, and Newcastle. The position focuses on developing and delivering reporting and technical solutions that support business-critical external reporting needs.

This role is ideal for a software engineer with a strong programming foundation in SAP ABAP or Python, who is interested in growing expertise across SAP technologies and AI-enabled solutions. The candidate will join a highly collaborative team and will be developed in areas such as ABAP, SAP reporting technologies, and AI use cases within External Reporting.

What Success Looks Like

• Lead and contribute within the Scrum team as a software engineer, delivering high-quality solutions aligned with the product backlog and clearly articulating their business value.

• Collaborate and learn from top SAP software developers, continuously building mastery in SAP reporting solutions, ABAP development, and AI-related capabilities relevant to External Reporting.

• Demonstrate strong programming and problem-solving skills, applying them to reporting, automation, and technical solution development.

• Develop a strong understanding of how SAP applications and reporting solutions are delivered across R/3 and S/4HANA environments.

• Proactively expand technical expertise across SAP and AI-related domains, focusing on continuous learning and business impact throughout the development journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain technical solutions in SAP environments, with a focus on ABAP development, reporting, automation, and scalable solution design.

• Collaborate effectively within an Agile/Scrum team to design, develop, test, and deliver new features and improvements.

• Analyze business requirements and propose robust technical solutions that meet business, data, and reporting needs.

• Apply strong programming fundamentals to solve technical problems using ABAP, Python, SQL, and related technologies as applicable.

• Ensure compliance with P&G’s technical standards and security/compliance policies.

• Communicate effectively with Technical Leads, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to ensure alignment and transparency.

• Support SAP incident and enhancement processes, including risk and impact assessments for OSS notes and SAP-provided solutions.

• Continuously learn and build capability in SAP technologies and AI-driven solutions to support the evolving needs of the organization.

Job Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP or Python.

• Working knowledge of SQL and solid understanding of databases, data structures, and data-driven application development.

• Strong programming logic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP ABAP development in R/3 or S/4HANA environments.

• Exposure to SAP technologies such as CDS Views, AMDPs, or reporting-related solutions.

• Experience with additional programming languages such as Java or C#.

• Basic understanding of AI, automation, or data-oriented technical solutions.

• Basic understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) — full training will be provided.

• Experience working in global or distributed teams across multiple time zones.
